Is it safe to bring my Mom to her Chemo and Radiation appointments?

I am almost 19 weeks and my Mother starts Chemo and Radiation fro Throat Cancer on Wednesday. She is concerned that maybe she shouldn't be near me right after the treatments, does anyone know if this is true or not? I want to be there for my Mom but I don't want to put the baby at risk.

Update:

I am going to call my Dr's office in the morning, thanks for the input

That might be a question better posed to her doctors as we do not know how intensive her treatment will be. I have heard that pregnant women should stay away from radiation therapy patients but if it were just chemo you'd be fine. I would get in contact with her doctors and ask them your question.

dont rely on any answers you find on here, you have to ask your obgyn and your moms doctor. i imagine it would be alright but i would have to give you false info incase something bad happened
