What's a great beach vacation idea where you took you 1 year old or toddler?
We take a vacation every year in June (its out wedding anniversary). Well, this year we wanted to go with our son, he just turned one on April 6th. What are some great vacation ideas you went with your little one? I live in the SF bay Area, so could easily drive to S Lake Tahoe, but we do that pretty often and I want a tropical/beachy shopping eating and relaxing (as much as i can anyway). Any ideas? Thanks!
We were also thinking about a drive to Huntington Beach, La Jolla or even Anaheim for Disney Land, but i know he is really young for that too? Anyone do this with their young ones and still have fun? I was thinking maybe 3 for DL. Thx!

He is to young for Disney but not Seaworld! At 1 my son LOVED it. We have gone everyyear since he was one. My daughters first trip was when she was about 7 months, even at such a young age she loved it. You could do that for a day or more. If you get your ticket stamped you can go back for the year for the SAME price! If you decide to do that and it is in driving distance, get your ticket stamped, you can go anytime during the year. The zoo would also be fun for him. Then do some adult stuff for you and hubby on the other days or in the evening.
Happy Anniversary, have a great vacation...where every you decide to go.

Hi, we simply went to Disney World in April. I have 2 youngsters. A son that's 12 and a little bit lady that's now three. She used to be two after we went. Both of my youngsters had a blast. Especially on the Magic Kingdom. Even with the gigantic age change in my youngsters, each cherished the Magic Kingdom. We additionally went to Universal Studios and each has a satisfactory time there too. My daughter cherished it for the reason that we obtained to peer Barney, Spongebob, Scooby Doo and lots of extra. I used to be relatively involved that she might be too younger however I used to be flawed. Hope that this is helping. Kristi

Some place with plenty of shade from the sun! I took my 6 month old to Florida a couple years ago (I had a job-related thing there), and trying to keep his tender little skin from burning was so stressful! I hate coating him in sunscreen, but covering him in clothes when it's 100 degrees out also sucks!

for a child so young, it's best to take a few short trips during the vacation season. in SF, it's easy -Tahoe, Santa Cruz, Redwoods, etc.

You're right next to Six Flags, there. They have a few kiddy rides that a one year old can do there. Otherwise Monterey is just a bit south. My kiddo hated the sand at 1 years old, though.
