  • a butterfly with a broken wing?

My kids got a butterfly habitat and raised larve into butterflys. They had so much fun watching them grow. We let them go today, all except for one. The poor little thing couldn't fly(: one of its wings didn't develop properly and it is in two parts. Not sure what we can do except for keep it. Any suggestions OR is there a way to "fix" the wing? I doubt it but just wanted to ask just incase its possible.

  • Have you filed for Bankrupcy?

We are having financial issues and can't keep up with our bills. They have started foreclosure and we do not want to loose our home. We talked to a lawyer today but are still not sure. We have the money to pay what we owe on our mortgage...3 months(because we got our tax return back) we are trying to work with the bank but they are really not being helpful. They seem to just want our home.(which i get but hate)

So..have you every filed for bankrupcy(sp) and how did it work for you. At one time we had money, now we have gone through everything plus. We took everythign out of my husbands 401k, and have used up everything we once had.

I hate the situation we are in, it is not for lack of trying. Our home isn't worth what we paid for but we really want/need to keep it. Filing is really scary, not sure what to expect or how it will effect us but, we feel it is our only hope to keep our home. So any experience good and bad?

  • Whats involved in being a Girl Scout leader?

I took my 5 yo daughter to her first Daisy meeting tonight. She had a fantastic time, and loved it!!! There isn't a troop "leader". There are girls in the 8th grade, there are 8!! of them. been in the same troop since kindergarden. They are earning badges to move forward..blah blah....blah. So..If I were to become the troop leader..what is involved? Is it very time consuming? Basically..what would I have to do?

  • Is there a way to respond to a Resolved question?

Just wondering...some questions I respond to, I would like to...respond back when the answer has been "resolved". Mostly to the rude comments but it would be nice to say something to someone else to someone you have tried to help. I don't give rude answers and I don't like people being rude to me.

  • Where can we get our kitten "fixed"?

We just rescued the cutest male kitten. He and his siblings were found under a dumpster. He hasn't gone to the vet yet, we are planning on taking him soon. Money is really...really tight for us. I dont expect anything free but, is there a place you can get your pets checked out and neutered for a lower cost then a vet. With our financial situation, now wasn't an ideal time to get a pet,...my family really wanted one, he was free and needed a good loving home.

  • swollen bee sting, could it be infected in a day?

Last night my son got stung by some type of bee. My husband was home, he said he didn't see the stinger. I can see where he got stung...on the back of his hand. The whole back of his hand is swollen from his wrist to below his knuckles.

Is this normal, could it be infected already? We gave him claritin last night and tonight.(we didn't have benedryl, I think it is the same type of drug(antihistimine.)

  • Is it best to alter a dress that is to small or get a bigger dress and make it smaller?

Hi...My daughter is in a wedding June 20th. My cousin insisted we get the dress 8 months ago. I got a size 6x, the biggest size they made, if just fit. Naturally she has grown and the dress is abit snug. They do make the dress in bigger sizes now. The smallest size is an 8 which will be to big. she needs a 7. So...would it be best to alter the dress we have to make it bigger, or buy the bigger dress and make it smaller. I am thinking the bigger dress would be the way to go, just wanted to get an opinion from someone who alters dresses.

  • Water backpack for a pit bull?

He is in good shape, goes for walks a few times a day. He doesn't do well in the hot weather but still loves to be outside and go for walks. Is there a good water backpack...he is about 1 and a half....not sure if he wil want to wear it but I was thinking the cold water will keep him cooler and keep me from lugging around water.

  • 6 year old son is making annoying and odd noises.?

My son is 6, and is making odd noises. just noises and doing them over and over again. I ask him to stop, he does for a minute then starts again. Its almost like he cant help it. Tonight we were playing games on the computer. He chose a game and started making one of the noises...I said why are you doing that. he said...that's the noise (one of the penguins make in the show..penguins of Madagascar) Ooooohhh. but why all day long. He has always made these "noises" but they seem to be getting more and more and they are soooooo annoying.

I asked the doctor about Turrets, they said he doesn't have it. He stops when I tell him to..but not for long.

What is this, does any other kids do this.

  • Great idea for Wedding shower decorations!!!!?

My sister and I are throwing a bridal shower for my cousin. There are 6 girls in the wedding but we are doing ALL the work but collecting money...hopefully from everyone. It is a big shower, 70 people invited only women.

We looked and looked for decorations that werent...tacky and couldnt find much. We are keeping it simple. Nice table runners with 2 tiered plate holders for appetizers at every table then switching the plates over to desserts to be served with the cake. Colored tool to be draped between pillers at the place we are having the reception. Putting lights on 5 fake trees they have there...if they let us move them into the room. We wantes looked for a bridal shower sign to put up but could find nothing so we made one and decided to make more. We used nice colored stock paper to match the decor, with ivory cut outs in the middle. We cut he stock in squares, the ivory sits on top and smaller cut with fancy scissors so it has a different edge than the plain square...so a framed look. We used nice ribbon to tie them together and the ends are longer ribbons tied in a bow at the end to hang. They turned out sooooooo nice!!! we have...Bridal Shower, then made others. Mrs. Bride, Love...the o is a heart. Mary (heart's...a heart) Doug, I do!, We wanted to make more but stopped before it got to much.

so easy and cheap...and we had a great night making them.

They are really nice...we may start a business! do you think it would work? Not to make millions, just a hobby to make a few extra bucks.

  • Can growing to fast cause a child to act different?

My son is 6, he is very tall for his age, 4 feet 4 inches and weighs 70lbs. Most of the time he acts "normal" but there have been a few times in the past, and right now that for a few days to a week he acts soooo odd. Hyper at times, cant seem to control his body from moving, is very sensitive, crys for no reason(he usually never crys) Normaly he is a nervous boy, he needs to know where I am at all times, even when at home, If I have to go to the car to get something and I dont tell him he gets upset. He is always good in school, he sits well, follows direction and is a good student but, he is nervous in school when something new happens. I guess what I am asking is, if a child grows fast can that trigger something in thier bodies to make them "short circut". I am going to talk to the doctor about this but couldnt find anything online. For the past 3 days he has been acting so odd, doesn't look well, which also happens when he goes through these "phases".
