Details, details, where are the details?
You can't win on this site, either you ask a vague question and it is ASSUMED that it is in absolute reference to your life or you offer details as to what brought about the question (a meager train of thought stemming from a situation) and everyone focuses on the details as opposed the question itself.
My question is:
For those in the parenting section who are never satisfied with any portion of the spectrum, what could possibly assuage your absurd desires?
luv....no, not in reference to you, just general annoyance at how you can please one person but not all....it's all good as my children have become fond of saying.
s@hm....lol...I would really appreciate a peak at that book :D
No, allow me to post it, I have nothing to hide:
You get thumbs down so you attack my son's ethics, bravo for the maturity there. My son is a very diligent, honest young man who would do no such thing as to allow someone to gain a free ride from his efforts.
s@hm, no problem, you can have all my points, it will be worth it :)
Word for word, it's the email, slight OCD on my behalf, I keep copies of all emails I send as well as all I receive.

I know what you mean, if you give too many details people focus on the details and miss the point of the question and sometimes don't even bother reading because it's too long. If you don't give enough details the question can be misunderstood and or assumptions about details are made. It happens to me all the time. it's a delicate balance giving enough details to get good answers that are relevant and not giving too many details that the question is lost.
If this is about me, I'm sorry I misunderstood your other question.

I need s@hm's book also.
I got a violation today because I apparently didn't understand the question.
You can't win for losing some days but hey YA's the most fun I get daily so I'm just going to continue to be confused and desire the absurd!
Who ever said the fun is in the details was wrong it seems. Who knew?

You can't make people think the way you do. You can't. I realise that I can sometimes get more caught up in a detail, and sometimes because that is more important to me than the real question that is being asked. Like if a question were to begin with "When I gave my nine-year-old his sippy cup this morning..." and I have to stop there and wonder why the nine-year-old is getting a sippy cup. Never mind that the question goes on to ask about who should have to feed the dog, I'm stuck on the sippy cup detail.
That's the way my mind works.

I think I'll agree with Judo. Assumptions are half the fun, but you do make a point about people jumping to the wrong conclusions too often.
I hate it when people pass judgment on others, especially if they do not know the full circumstances.

you cant win to lose. i very rarely anymore ask specific questions that are in reference to my kids that arent anything more than light-hearted.
but didnt you already know the answer to your question? i thought there was a whole section in the yahoo answers hand book that discusses proper question protocol. chapter one: no matter what you type, no matter how many times the question you ask is about you or your kid. chapter two: everyones opinion is right and yours is wrong. i can email you the book if you like.
edit - expect your books in 6-8 weeks. it will include your official "im a yahoo" t-shirt. unfortunately, i'll then be collecting all of your points to compensate. thanks for doing business.

I dont care. Many people take themselves too seriously in here. I mean you wouldnt know most of them if they walked down the street so what do you care if they assume something of you? so someone somewhere on this world might think something of you for a minute and then moved on with their life? I laugh and move on

I refuse to provide disclaimers anymore: I am having much too good of a time watching people assume things about me. They assume it with or without details, so I just skip out on all the work now.

I'm sorry, this isn't a place to answer the question asked. It's a place to put your own little spin on whatever you believe the question really means.

Oh my, shall I copy paste the pitiful disgusting email you just sent me? LMAO, Is that you kettle?
That wasn't the email now was it. If your going to attack me, be honest about it. I am. Cute, and I wonder who my first TD is on this question.

Not only are you a liar but you are a hypocrite....
You may report now as cowards often do : )
