Is God really gonna punish the rich wealthy people here on Earth?
Is God really gonna punish the rich wealthy people on Earth just because they live in nice houses, drive nice luxury cars, own lots of nice clothes, dine out at nice expensive restaurants, going to plenty of concerts and travel to many places all aorund the world?
I don't see anything wrong with living in a nice house, owning a nice expensive car, owning lots of nice clothes, dining out at many nice restaurants, going to plenty of concerts and travelling to many places all around the world at all.

There's nothing wrong with being wealthy. In fact I find that the people who complain the most about the rich tend to be the greediest types. They're hypocrites & as soon as they get a chunk of cash they become everything they complain about.
Most Rich people are good people. If you notice rich guys don't cat call women in the street or make themselves look dumb like that. They don't go out of their way to bother others. And rich men & women give more to charity than most of the lower classes do COMBINED. Yes there are bad apples but for the most part Rich people are polite & do a lot of good for the world.
Corporations however- can be an entirely different animal. A corporation is not a person & therefore has no conscionse. It can only survive when shareholders like the numbers...This can cause a lot of fraud to occur. A lot of people blame the CEO when a corporation does fraudulent things, but the CEO is usually just the scapegoat & often doesn't have much to do with the fraud.

Why do people feel compelled to judge God? Your perception of rich and snobby as well as your inferiority complex is your deal-- not someone else's or God's. I think somehow God will not be too happy with idiots who wish for punishment and suffering of others. Answer this: Do Po people help Po people? Do Po people start businesses and create jobs? Do Po people give to charity? Do Po people motivate or provide an example for anyone? Get your head and your a$z wired together before the world takes a giant s#|+ on you.

NEVER!
Punishment is done only for sin.
You can own all the money in the world, enjoy it and still go to heaven.
Just make sure that you don't spend it for evil. Help the poor, make the world a better place, don't make people hate you for being rich.

lol.. Thats a funny question, now why would he do that.
There were a lot of kings and people god blessed with wealth in the bible.
The problem is, lots of wealthy people tend to 'believe' in their material things, and not in god. Apparently, lots of them think they're too 'up there' to care about god.

No, He is going to punish them because they live on the backs of the poor and are high-minded .. its not about living in a good way and enjoying nice things, its mainly about the rich elite that dont care if your power is cut and your kids are hungry as they foreclose on your property to make 5 bucks to add to their mound of money.

Oh, yeah, god's right there.... he's gonna kill Cheney, and Bush for all the things these two have done. Both if out of this country have warrants on their heads, both to be tried as war criminals. Do you see that happening? Yup, god's gonna get them...
And he's gonna get those guys at Enron who robbed those employees of their pensions. Yup, right there..... And the Goldman-Sachs guys.... they are goners too.....

the problem with the rich ppl back in biblical times is not that they were rich. it's that they didn't use the wealth and power to help others. also, they put their wealth above God.
so basically, if a rich person today helps other people and put God as above his possession, then he is still a very moral person (by Christian standards)

17 And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? 18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.
19 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother. 20 And he answered and said unto him, Master, all these have I observed from my youth. 21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.
22 And he was sad at that saying, and went away grieved: for he had great possessions.
23 And Jesus looked round about, and saith unto his disciples, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! 24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter into the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God [ Mark 10:17-25].

God wants us to use money wisely since it isn't OUR money-it's Gods. He has given it to us.
There isn't anything wrong with having all that stuff as long as we give him 10% of our income.
If someone gave you 1,000,000 dollars as long as you gave him a tenth would you agree? In the Bible Jesus was just saying that to follow him you have to give up a lot of earthly things(like money) and follow him. He doesn't want our lives to be devoted to making money or solely focused on money he wants it to be focused on him.

God makes the animals and parades them before Adam to see if any would strike his fancy. But none seem to have what it takes to please him. (Although he was tempted to go for the sheep.) After making the animals, God has Adam name them all. The naming of several million species must have kept Adam busy for a while. 2:18-20
God curses the serpent. From now on the serpent will crawl on his belly and eat dust. One wonders how he got around before -- by hopping on his tail, perhaps? But snakes don't eat dust, do they? 3:14
God curses the ground and causes thorns and thistles to grow. 3:17-18

God was angry because "the earth was filled with violence." So he killed every living thing to make the world less violent. 6:11-13

God worries that the people will succeed in building a tower high enough to reach him (them?) in heaven, and that by so doing they will become omnipotent. 11:4-6
And He taught Adam all the names."
Allah taught Adam all the names of the plants and animals, which must have taken a while since there are 1.7 million species that are known today, with probably another 10 million or so that are yet to be discovered. And this only includes those that are alive today. If extinct species are included (~99%), then Allah must have taught Adam a billion or so names. 2:31
God says, "Let us go down ..." Maybe he hasn't been talking to himself; maybe there is more than one of them up there. Well, however many there may be, they all decide to come down to confuse the builders by confounding human language and scattering them [humans] abroad. 11:7

A rational examination of the origins and sources of religion, as well as the benefits and disadvantages of religion, is unlikely to change the mind of anyone who is afraid to examine these concepts objectively.
People who approach the subject of religion with trepidation or who cannot distinguish between reality and superstition, find it difficult to apply logic to their thought processes. It is much easier to belief in miracles and pseudo-science than to acquire facts and engage in incisive, rational thought.
We can observe many members of society who appear to be intelligent and rational in the pursuit of their daily life. However, on Sundays they go to their church or temple. There they participate in incomprehensible and irrational rituals involving magic, prayer and other activities demeaning to their rational minds. Their rational mind tells them that a god does not exist and yet, there they sit and pray to god..
It is interesting to note that the degree of involvement with the supernatural, including religion, is directly proportional to the degree of factual knowledge available to a person
The masses of men remain emotion-driven animals that have neither the intelligence nor the fortitude to throw off the shackles of religious irrationality. The man who goes to church and prays to god is still carrying the demon of religion on his back
