Do you think that there should be free health care for dying 4 yr old?

She has stage four cancer and no health insurance, family needs help sooo bad. Would you help a dying 4 yr old? Why don't they give little children like this free health care? my heart is so broken. Pray for her please....

Update:

Yes I donated. This little girl lives in my city. That's a link to my local news. And stop saying all of you that prayers don't help. Oh Ye with little faith. God can heal her. In case you fail to realize He has done much more than just this little miracle.

Update 2:

The family has no money for transportation to and from St.Judes or food and shelter to stay there , they have more than one child.

There is free health care for this child . . the money being raised is not to pay medical expenses but to help the parents out financially. Each US state has programs set up for children with severe medical needs . . and this child qualifies. Here is the link for the State of New York. This child also would qualify for Medicare.

New York: Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) Program

    http://www.health.state.ny.us/community/special_ne...

Funding is available for transportation needs, lodging, and meals . . there is no doubt this family is suffering and needs the support and fundraising from the community . . but the child is receiving medical care whether the family has insurance or not.

And, I understand the entire process because I lost my son to a childhood abdominal cancer.

In my opinion, one's life should not depend on one's ability to pay for medical treatment. There should be health care available to all who need it. In the instance of this precious child and others like her, the hospitals should go right ahead and perform any necessary treatments. As the article stated, a fundraiser is being held, so why wait? It's called the honor system. Trust the parents to do their part to raise the needed cash, accept what can be paid, and forgive what is still owed. You cannot place a dollar value on a human life, and this child deserves every chance to live. My heart and prayers are with her.

Yes there should be universal free health care for everyone because we should be our brother and sisters keepers. I am glad my parents emigrated to England rather then America as I had a serious childhood illness that I doubt if they could have afforded if we had gone to the U.S.. I am alive today because of the national health service in the U.K., many people are who would have died in countries where you pay to get treated are alive because of it The U.K. has the 18th best health care in the world rated by results, rated by mortality and years of health, the U.S. is 37th, so tell me why free health care is so bad, as my contributions work out a lot less than health care insurance, everyone is entitled to it and that includes a basic pension, seems like good value for money to me.

I can't believe the answers I just read. I'll send out a prayer for sure. And any child who has to go through anything like that is ten times stronger than most grown adults. It is reasons like this one that the bill is being passed that everyone in the US has to carry health care insurance. It is heartbreaking, but unfortunatly if they gave free health care to every dying child or elderly person-like everyone wants-we as a country wouldn't be able to afford medical advancement that we need to ensure our childrens, childrens futures. That money would come from taxes, medicaid, soc sec and things like that-that we all need to survive later on in life:( My sympathy to her parents and family.

St. Jude's Children's Hospital established by Danny Thomas will help her. They specialize in cancer patients.

Little children like this do get free health care in America. Bring her to the Medical Center in Houston, TX. They don't let children die without helping them. Our doctors and hospitals are not without a heart.

Ben Taub Hospital in Houston takes more poor people and helps them without a penny everyday.

There is a Charity Hospital in New York. W

don't listen to them. They do not know what it is like to sit in front of a four foot casket with "THEIR" child inside it. I do. People say stupid sh it when they have no clue what they are talking about.

. Do some research on the Shriners Hospital in Utah. If they can not help they can get you pointed in the right direction.

. on a side note: If hospitals and doctors weren't allowed to charge whatever they damn well please so they can get rich off sick people then healthcare would not be so expensive. I say start micro-managing the healthcare system and stop that rape of the public....

There is free health care for her. St Jude Children's Hospital will not turn away any child regardless of the parent's ability to pay.

This travesty in America of there being no univerisal heath care is a crime.

But praying will do no good.

Those that pray a lot seem to be on the side of preventing univeral health care

Many people in the United States would say "no" and "let her die if she can't pay". I'm glad to be living in one of the many civilized countries that takes care of it's unfortunates.

Funny how some people in your country say that "universal health care will ruin America".

Especially when most industrialized nations have universal health care and it hasn't ruined them...

Edit; she has stage 4 neuroblastoma! best say goodbye while you can. Kid won't be around much longer.

Which is definitive evidence against any god existing. After all, if a good, compassionate and omnipotent being DID exist, he could cure her with less effort than it takes me to blink an eye.
