Where is the BEST trash the dress online gallery you've ever seen?
I have seen tons of beautiful ones in the past, but now that I am trying to explain the concept to my mother I cannot find anything I like-- I have found some really artistic or emotion-filled ones before, but now all I can find are trashy ones (no pun intended.)
Your own pics would be great too if you have any that turned out well!
seamstress: You're the one insulting me for what I choose to do with belongings I've paid for. No further comment.
prolly: Thanks, I like some of those! I don't know whether or not I want to do it, but I had mentioned one I'd seen and really liked to my mom and she was just so confused-- I wanted to find some good ones to show her what I meant, she couldn't imagine. XD

i love the concept of Trash the Dress. Nice ones - you do see women out there painting and what not. My sister wants to 'Trash her Dress' by going paintballing in it - but she's an art type anyway.
ok so you told your mum that 'Trash the Dress' was a concept designed that means a bride can AFTER her wedding and the groom of course go out and have a photo session done where you do something not normally done in a wedding dress. That's all Trash the Dress means. Most people involve water in some way - beach, lake, river, fountain. Whatever. But it doesn't have to. It could simply be you go and sit in a paddock or go to a garden and plonk yourself down on the garden bed.
I've found some pics that may help also. I tried to find non water ones as they seemed to be covered. (Hope links work)
P.S. Seamstress - a fully paid for dress can be used for WHATEVER the customer wants. Get over it - it's something fun and gives a story to the dress and the day itself.

I dug up a few that I liked...the gowns aren't exactly trashed, mostly they are just wet. I don't like the pics where there is paint or mud splattered all over the gown or if it's ripped up.
These just happen to all include water for some reason, LOL:

don't show your mom this one: http://www.bridalwave.tv/trash-the-dress.jpg LOL it's totally photoshopped!
Oh Faith! I love the tree pics you posted! I would do that! My dress could get snagged climbing a tree just as easily as getting snagged on my own heels at the reception. And I actually like the one with the bride and groom in the dirt too. Sorta in a grave...saying til death do us part. The dry dirt could probably be dusted off pretty easily without staining.

Either I Wanna Sex You Up by Color Me Badd which was just totally ridiculous, or Cherry Pie by Warrant. Neither are "trippy" so much as just terrible. Best music video ever was Sweet Child O' Mine by Guns n Roses. Watch it, and look out for Duff.

I cannot imagine how this new found way to disrespect a wedding dress can be "really artistic or emotion-filled". The reason you can only find trashy "Trash the dress" videos is because it really is a classless way to treat one of the most important and expensive garments you will ever wear.
These videos of Brides ruining their dresses is.not "artistic" and certainly not "emotion-filled", so I cannot find you any clip with the least amount of class. Sorry, I just cannot see anything positive about a bride that looks like a drowned rat or one wearing a fitlhy dress she has ruined. Hardly romantic or sexy..
EDIT: I apologize for offending you as that was not my direct intention. I actually looked at some videos of "Trashing the dress" and was disgusted. I am a seamstress and take great pride in the custom made dresses I create and I am horrified that anyone would even think of ruining my work. It just rubs me the wrong way and seems like a very spoiled and careless thing to do. It makes no sense to me and clearly shows a lack of values. And, I do not care about the thumbs downers one iota.

I think the best thing you can do to get really artistic and/or emotion-filled one, is make sure you get a REALLY good photographer. And I mean that, not just "that one guy that your friend had at her wedding and said was good" or something like that. Review portfolios until you find a photographer who's work moves you, and then you'll know that your own trash-the-dress photos will have a good chance of being moving as well. :)
