How to filter window air?

There are filters that will fit your window. They are pretty nitfy looking, much better than the ghetto-style stuff that I used to put together. It's a great way to get the breezes without the sneezes. lol, I can't believe I just made that up.

A little common sense on the physics of air. You want to open your windows to get the fresh air in, right? You also want to filter the air that comes in. The only problem is you want air to flow freely into your room, but you are putting a blockage in the window. Filters work on the assumption that air is being pulled through them. Filters are very inefficient when you try to blow air through them, but very effective if you pull air through them. You will have to set up a fan inside the room to pull the air into your room, then the filters can do something. Also, keep in mind that the filters that fit in your window are only effective for large particles (1 micron and larger). Most people who suffer from allergies and asthma are affected by allergens less than 1 micron.
