chocolate cookie recipe?

is there a way to incorporate hot cocoa packets into a cookie recipe? I have a ton of those instant packets of swiss miss, and would like to use them up without needing to drink a million cups of hot chocolate.

Hot Chocolate Cookies with Marshmallow Creme

    Total time: 30 minutes

    1/2 cup of shortening

    1/2 cup of sugar

    1/2 cup of powdered sugar

4 packages of instant hot chocolate mix (without marshmallows)

1 (7 ounce) container of marshmallow creme

    1 egg

    2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour

    1/2 teaspoon of baking soda

    1/2 teaspoon of salt

    1 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

    Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease baking sheets.

Cream butter or margarine, shortening, white sugar, powdered sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and the vanilla.

Sift the flour, baking soda, salt and hot chocolate mix together. Add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture and blend.

Shape dough into walnut-sized balls and place on the prepared baking sheets, press cookies balls flat. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

Cool cookies on a cooling rack, when completely cooled, place 1 1/2 tablespoons of the marshmallow creme between two cookies, putting bottom sides together. Enjoy!

The packets are a bit of cocoa and more dry milk and sugar than anything else.

You will not get a good strong chocolate flavor using that rather than cocoa or other chocolate for cookies.

Try making a smoothie with them. A bit of extra calcium. A berry chocolate smoothie would taste pretty good. Tossed in a blender with milk or a bit of water or yogurt and some fruit and some ice you have the start of a great fast breakfast. Treat it just like you would a "Carnation Breakfast" drink mix.
