Doesn't the bible say its a sin to have sex before marriage too?

Well, yes and no.

If you have sex with another man's wife, you're committing TWO sins:

1. Adultry: Sex with another man's wife or another woman's husband

2. Fornication: Sex outside of your own marital relationship

If two single people are having sex, that's most certainly a sin! The sin is fornication. It's most certainly a sin! And once you've sinned, you've breached the covenant with God. I'm not sure it matters much how many other sins you pile on to that one, but it's like ...

Stealing is wrong. But stealing AND hurting the person is like doubly wrong, right?

So, let's be clear. I am NOT telling this guy to stop having sex with a married woman and go find a single woman to have sex with. That's insane! But just to purely and literally analyze your question, he is "slightly" less wrong having sex with the single woman than he would be with a married woman.

It does say in the bible that having sex before marriage is wrong. But also keep in mind society and how if you had sex before marriage that woman could get pregnant(no birth control remember) and would be a disgrace among her society, and she would have a hard time finding a man to provide for her and her family.

The bible preaches against it, but than again these days we date for several yrs before marriage wheras back than you just picked somebody to marry and married at a young age. It's always best to wait until marriage, and I still think that people still should. But I won't condemn people who don't wait, but I hope dearly that the people who choose not to wait will be able to at least respect themselfs and their girlfriend/boyfriends body.

Well I'm no scolar but yeah the bible says its wrong to have sex out of married especially while one or both parties is married to someone else. Its also wrong to have sex for any other reason then pro-creation. or to have babies. Still he is I think just being a jerk & probably player your friend as well as trying to save his marriage so he doesnt lose any money. Personally my understanding is that while its bad to have sex out of wedlock he not only did but he did it while married then tried to hide so he's the bigger criminal if you will. The book also though points out that everyone has flaws & sins even gods son only god is perfect or so I remember but that doesnt mean you can't ask & be given forgiveness. STill some had issues with that because that would suggest a murderer could be forgiven but agian thats seperate issue & debate. Your friend is not going to go to hell.

The sin is to climb into bed with people then keep changing your mind. The man is just sleeping around. Sex is not a serious sin; messing with people is.

It says fornication and adultery are sins premarital sex is fornication. Adultery is sex with someone who is married. I did make it up the word of God says it.
