With respect to my answers and questions in the Religion and Spirituality section: I don't know anymore about God than anyone else. I assume God is wise and compassionate and has common sense; then, applying logic, craft my answers. If God is a mean-spirited fool; then, obviously, my answers are wrong. I assume what could not happen today did not happen in the past. Have faith in God, love and support others, and don't be too hard on yourself, or anyone else. That is all God asks.
Does God change? Why and how?
God used to be quite a meanie.

I use a lid from a big sauce pan now but I'd like a cover with sharp sides and a high dome. What name are these sold under?
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes7 years agoHow much energy would it take to increase the temperature of the Earth's oceans one degree centigrade?
I believe, based on Googling, that the mass of the Earth's oceans are about 1.37 x 10 to the 21st kilograms. What I am getting at is the question of how much the amount of energy resulting from the greenhouse effect relates to the amount of energy needed to effect a significant rise in ocean temperature. How the ocean temperatures would be affected by circulation from depth to the surface are also involved, but for this purpose assume the entire ocean might rise in temperature uniformly.

9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoShould you force compliance with your religious views?
Allah says: “If it had been your Lord’s will, all of the people on Earth would have believed. Would you then compel the people so to have them believe?” [Sûrah Yûnus: 99] http://en.islamtoday.net/artshow-262-3441.htm
