2010 WC: Ballack is OUT of the World Cup, what do you think?

http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/news/newsid=1212553/i...

(FIFA.com news)

http://sg.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Aq...

In the above page I was asking which player is going to be missed the most in the World Cup.

I was undecided back then.

But now it is clear: Michael Ballack.

Yes people, his injury during the 2010 FA Cup Final will take approximately 8 weeks just for him to return to training.

No chance of making the World Cup.

All made worse by the fact that he got the injury is his last game of the season.

Oh man, it can hardly get more heartbreaking than this.

Before this news, Germany were one of the top 4 teams in my opinion along with Argentina, England & Netherlands.

It now seems that I have to revise my prediction to just top 3.

What do you think of Ballack's absence?

How far will it affect Germany?

Thanks

    As A Germany fan , i say F***

about the affection , of course it will affect Germany , but the affection will Be more mentally than on the playground

Ballack is not the youngest , and also not the irreplaceable player anymore

Schweinsteiger stepped up Greatly this season as A CDM , and player better Than Xavi , Gerrard and Lampard this season

Sami Khedira Also Showed his great skills as a CDM

    ============

So Loew can either put Khedira in place of Ballack

or he can use the offensive and youth Arsenal we have (Ozil , Kroos , Mueller and Marin) who are world class at this age , and make the formation more offensive

Source(s): Note : Top 3 is better than Top 4, for your info

    What a shame.

This would've been Michael Ballack's last international tournament.

As Germany's captain, a key midfielder and their most senior and experienced player, there is no denying that his absence will be a bit of a setback for Germany.

However, with the exception of Beckenbauer and Matthaus, Germany are a team that never relies on one player. I think it's more of a shame for Ballack, than for Germany.

I think Ballack's absence for Germany would be similar to Henry's absence for France. Not a catastrophic absence, but just simply the absence of a influential veteran who has been part of the team for a long time.

I heard once that when Ballack is out of the team Germany's winning % was 25. It was during a match during the Euro2004. I suspect Germany are in trouble if that still holds true!!!

Ballack is a great player for his country and for chelsea...but i think he is out of form bcoz in the last season for chelsea( winning epl) he scored only one goal...but its for chelsea...for germany he may score more goals becoz he is the playmaker for germany..absence of ballack is major problem for germany...but i still wish that ballack could play in world cupand i wish him good luck

Never EVER write off Deutschland. I wouldn't be shocked if they won. They LOVE flying under the radar, so teams underestimate them.

Deutschland are one of the best Fußball teams, because they have amazing team chemistry. Granted, the only world class players they have available are Lahm and Schweini, but they ALWAYS play better than you'd expect them to.

It sucks for Ballack cos it would have been his last world cup. But like element said, Ballack is no longer irreplaceable.

As a socceroo fan, I think this is great, Germany's star player and inspirational captain is gone, meaning we have a larger chance of beating them.

I have to say though good luck with his recovery, and get well soon.

    Good Luck Michael Ballack :)

    Socceroos 4 ever!

Who cares he's not ronaldinho....sorry but Ballack is washed up maybe a veteran, influencial in the locker room but he's done!

Scheiwnstegger better than Gerrard, Lampard AND Xavi? You must be on crack......maybe Lampard, definitely not Gerrard and under no circumstances I mean no circumstances Xavi. You being German doesn't mean you can't be objective that's madness!
