why do i get negative points on yahoo answers?

Asking a question costs 5 points. Answering one earns you two. Ask more than you answer, and you'll have a negative score for the week. You can't get a negative score overall, though. It just goes to 0 and won't let you do anything that costs points.

At the top of the page, click on the ABOUT tab. Look down the list, and you'll find a link "Points & Levels." Click on that and you'll see the page that tells you all about points. It doesn't cost anything to view.

those are the strategies you could lose factors the following: a million. 5 for asking a query 2. 2 for self-deleting your answer 3. 10 for incurring a contravention in a query 4. 12 for incurring a contravention in an answer 5. 10 for filing a faux attraction (besides to the awesome 2 products)

Asking questions but not giving best answers. If you get a violation notice for any reason that will be points off.

U ask more questions than you answer. You lose 5 pts everytime you ask, and only get 2 for an answer. Everytime you ask a question, try to answer 2 or 3 questions to make up for it.

The only reason this would happen is:

you deleted a answer (-2)

or you asked a question (-5)

Don't worry, it's easy to gain more points ^^

Either you answered and got it deleted cause it was in violation of something, or you asked a question.

Maybe a lot of people gave you the thumbs down.
