I like to buy canned vegetables and fruits. Just look for ones in juice not syrup, and without added salt or sugar (if possible).
These are nice because all you have to do is open the can, drain and serve.
I also like to have low-sodium crackers on hand. My son loves them.
P.S. these fruits and vegetables are just as nutritious as fresh, maybe more so. FDA regulations say that these items have o be canned within 48-72 hours of being picked. Just imagine how long those fresh fruits take to get to your local supermarket!

Hmm, multi-grain cheerios or other whole grain cereals, pieces of soft cheese, whole grain toast with a little cream cheese or butter and a little fruit puree. Boiled egg yolks, or scrambled egg yolks with cheese. Any fresh fruits and veggies that he is able to gum like melon, pieces of banana, kiwi fruit, berries, pineapple, peaches. Steamed broccoli or cauliflower florets. Steamed carrots, peas, corn. There are so many options! I tried to give my son as wide of variety as I could so that he would get used to eating different foods, and not just stick to a certain kind, and he is good eater, and will try almost anything. Good luck!

You can start to give him/her coarser foods. Start to feed him/her the same food that you are eating. But mush it up a little or cook it longer to make it a little softer. You can feed them veggies, meats, bread ect. They should start to use a spoon (a baby safe spoon) and try to feed themselves. Don't feed him/her eggs, seafood, dairy ect. because they can be allergic to it. this link will tell you a little more

Alot of the gerber foods are great. They go by stages like how many months your baby is. They go all the way up to preschool and are healthy and are a great part of a child's diet.

at that age I stuck with puree fruits and veggies and those puffs you can buy in the baby section... Supers I kept it simple - 1 veggie 1 fruit 1 protein, maybe a carb, and sometimes pudding for a treat (my kid was easy to please).. also I googled a lot for meal ideas
