Facebook request rotted?

I've recently seen some questions/answers here about Facebook friend requests "rotting" after a certain amount of time. I sent a friend request to someone over a year ago, and was quite puzzled by a lack of response. Now, I realize that it may simply be that she was not very active, and never had the opportunity to see the friend request that was sent to her. I cannot send a request again, as it still indicates that my request is pending when I look at her profile to try to do so. What happens now? I don't think that she has purposefully let the request rot, as I was invited to a party in her honor by one of her best friends, and so I feel that her best friend would know if there was a reason why she wouldn't want to keep in contact - also, she is Facebook friends with several of my other friends - I think she is just more active on Facebook now than she was at the time when I originally sent the request, and we are possibly in a situation where she thinks it would be awkward to send me a friend request. I also plan to attend the party in her honor. I don't want to make things awkward by asking her about it in person, though.

ahhh facebook....haha this stuff kills me..it could be alot of reasons I personally stay on top of all that stuff on my Facebook page but I know alot of people who dont check their Friend Requests and notifications.....so it could be something like that. If you have been invited to a party I am sure that it is nothign to do with you.

Friend requests don't rot. The notification can be there as long as the person ignores it. I've had a friend request last me 8 months before I denied it. It doesn't really matter really.

The best solution would be to go to your Friends list and withdraw the request. Then send her a fresh new one.

He could rather probable have not even observed the chum request yet. or perhaps he has such a great number of waiting that he hasn't had the time to bypass by using all of them. the two way, only resend the request one extra time and this time upload a remark. Be friendly and humorous case in point: "hello You! do i desire a VIP enable to be on your chum checklist or what?" "anyhow, only needed to assert hi; have not considered you on account that final year. desire all is unquestionably." yada yada yada. in case you get no reaction after your 2d attempt then only enable it bypass. He could look solid yet curiously his character ought to suck. if so, flow on gurl...
