Ray Jay come down from your jive garbage. Satan rules the Earth, Man is blessed by the Lord. America is the people that still believe in America as the Christian Nation it was created as. You cannot tell me that there has been a greater country in the world in the last 200 years. If you do, it would be a lie. True Americans to not want amerika. God will not bless Communism as you can see all over the world. The biblical country of Judah, stood where america stands today. God led the Prophet Jerimiah in convincing Juda to go back to it's knee's, and find God again before properity would again return to the land. If you are going to take your position on God blessing anything, I think you need to start reading the word, and not the lies humans led by Satan provide you with.

As an american and an agnostic, I figure that IF there is a "god", they will bless the entire planet. But Americans (US variety) tend to be pretty arrogant. It comes from being the worlds leading "superpower" for quite some time. The British were much the same way in their heyday, goes back to any empire in history that had their "national" "gods" or assumed any "god" that was big in their neighborhood had to be blessing them because "their" empire was the "king shyt" of it's time. In due time, we'll get over it.

    Blessings on your Journey!

Other countries claim the same thing from God.

Maybe you should go to other countries to prove it.

At least, America never says "God Bless America only" so, what is your problem with that?

Friends and relatives often say, "May God bless you".

Yah blesses His people wherever they may be.

Prosperity has become the religion of America & the god in whom many Christians trust is green & thin & has occult symbols all over it.

Believe me the God of the bible is NOT blessing America. Look on the back of any America $1.00 bill and you will see the god America trusts.

I don't believe in god, but I think we (Americans) are asking for a blessing over our country since this is where we reside. If I believed in any gods I would want wherever I reside to be blessed and wouldn't get my panties in a twist if someone else asked god to bless their country.

If one meant God bless ONLY America, I would say yes. However, if one recognizes and hopes God blesses others as well, then no.

I bless the things I am personally grateful for as a sign of my gratitude. So I bless my meals, my family, my country. Sometimes I bless those who are troubled as a sign of my concern for them. I hope others do the same. Nothing selfish or arrogant there. Wonder why you would think so?

It's exclusionary to an extreme. But then exclusion is a mainstay of religion.

Like saying God bless my son.... but not my daughter because she moved away.

Cause we are in dire need for Gods blessings, especially now

God Bless America is not a statement of fact, it's a petition of prayer. As in "Please, God, bless America."

As in "God bless our family," or "God bless you..."

By the way, don't blame "God Bless America" on Christians, please. Irving Berlin was a Jew.
