How do you fix a mini fridge that wont get cold?

I bought an awesome 1979 dodge camper van and I am loving it! I only have a problem with the mini fridge, I hear it running when I plug it in with an electricity source, but it won't get cold, even after letting it run for over an hour. It also runs with propane, and that works fine. It is just the electricity part. Would be nice to make it work without the propane.

I know it is hard to tell without actually looking at it, but does anyone have past experiences with this problem and if there was a way of fixing it? Maybe it is a simple solution, but I wouldn't know it is my first one.

Thanks

sounds like it uses ammonia gas instead of freon. the propane and electricity both operate the heater that heats the ammonia. not sure what your's looks like, but be careful if you work on it. ammonia gas is very toxic. maybe it has a separate heater for both types of energy. post a model number.

How sure are you that it's actually getting the propane gas?

are you sure the tank is not empty?

Go to Wal-Mart and spend the $90 on a new one or go to a RV trailer store, price one you like and purchase the one of your choosing.
