If your idea of heaven is my idea of hell...?
does that mean when I go to hell I'm actually going to your heaven?
I hate being cold, I don't like people who can't accept others for their differences, I don't think there is a god or one right religion (obviously) so if the people who tell me I'm going to hell are actually sending me to a hot place where I'm with people like me, who think diversely and accept everyone regardless of their faith, then aren't I really where I want to be in the afterlife?
How is it hell if I want to be there? And if my hell is not where I want to be then that means I actually go to the Christians heaven, where they don't want me to be, which negates their idea of heaven.
(Just to set the record straight, I'm an atheist, so I actually don't believe in heaven or hell, but using the logic behind secular religion's views on the afterlife I came up with this question.)

Its funny that you ask this, cause i've always thought that the place where all those annoying, close minded christians go would be HELL for me!! I would hate it! Also with the christians would be all those murders and child molesters that 'accepted' god on their deathbed and were given an easy pass into heaven.
If 'hell' is with people like Shakespeare, Bertrand Russel, Aristotle, Galeleo, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, Einstein, Charles Darwin,Richard Dawkins, Jefferson, i will be VERY happy!! What a fascinating place it would be!
Of course heaven and hell don't exist except proverbially here on earth.

OK - just for the record, "secular" means something that's not religious. A "secular religion" doesn't make any sense.
Everybody's view of hell and heaven is different, I suspect. I don't believe in hell either; if I did, however, I'd presume that God would be sending people to their own version of hell; it IS supposed to be punishment, from what I understand.
The notion of God doing anything awful just doesn't work for me, though. Probably why I'm Jewish :-)

Hell is apparently the continuation of consciousness after death without the presence of god. According to the bible (as I remember it) you get to experience a meeting with god, the ultimate groover and then you never sense it again and are left very unhappy for eternity because you know how groovy it is but can't be with it.
A strange but strangely popular belief system.

Yeah, I like to joke that as long as I don't end up with Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, Franklin Graham, the Westboro gang, and all the other hatechristians like them, I'M NOT IN HELL!!!

Why don't you ask the God that you don't believe in to reveal himself to you and show you if he is real. To show you who he is and what the truth is so you don't have to wonder about these things anymore. BTW you don't want to go to hell unless you like being in pitch black darkness and in solitary confinement.

It's your right and privilege to choose God's way of life and love or not. It's up to us believers to respect your choice and not belittle or threaten you in any way. We are sorry you have been disrespected in this way.
We are distressed that people who act the way you describe are very poor witnesses of God's way of life and love. Before they accost people who don't have a relationship with God, they need to ask Him to help them be love as He is and follow Jesus' example.

When you die, you will clearly see your mistakes and wasted oppurtunities. All of us will. So you will see Almighty God but then it would be too late and be seperated from Him forever. Trust me, hell will be miserable. You will not want to be there, instead you will want to go to heaven.
As you are still alive though, it is not too late. Confess your sins to Christ, accepting Him as Lord and Savior and repent of your sins and begin your relationship with God. Hopefully, this message will not fall on deaf ears.
God Bless!

My idea of hell is being stuck on a cloud with a bunch of sanctimonious, self righteous Christians for eternity.

Wheteher it be heaven or life in the new Earth, it will be spectacular and awesome.
You'd be a fool to miss it, and your hell will be an eternity of kicking yourself for choosing to miss it!!

in hell you won't find any time to think about your fellow hell mates . pain of the torture would be too much to think other thing
