Should we get rid of child labour laws because they are government regulation?
As a free market capitalist, I am against government regulation. Businesses shouldn't be restricted on who they are able to hire, and working conditions need not have any regulations. If I, as a parent, wish to send my child to work in a coal mine or a factory, I should be allowed. Not only will it increase our family revenue (cha-ching!), it will teach my child responsibility. It would be beneficial for employers to hire children because they will be willing to work for less as they haven't a family to support. What do you think? As a family, we'd have more money to spend, and products will be cheaper. I do understand that my child may get sick due to unsanitary working conditions, but that is the price I am willing to pay for a better quality of life for my family.

I so agree with you!
The children should be able to work if the parent want them to, it their property after all.
Lets send them to an oil field and teach them some responsibility :D

Do you honestly think that regulations like this are needed any longer in the USA?
Do you think US society in general would put up with a coal mine or factory worker that exploited child labor?
If it was discovered that ABC co chained kids to machines belching smoke to operate them to produce their widgets, that Americans would buy those widgets no matter how cheap they were? There would be an instant boycott and ABC Co would go out of business!
Same by the way for any company that is found to be discriminating against folks because of race.

It was put in place because the Feds. will not do the job It is estimated more then 1,000 illegals are coming across each day They bring across drugs The kidnapping of Americans has been going up Then there is the unknown Terrorist that have/could come across The fact that Az has asked for help from the Feds on help securing the border with no help coming What is Az to do it is not racist to want to protect your Country Just look back there has been to terrorist that tried to blow up a bomb we were lucky they were to stupid to know how to build one that went off. Our Gov. missed both times. If we want to keep America safe we need to know whom is in this Country being a Nation of Laws everyone should have to obey them all of them. Besides all that if the Az law was racist then why is the Fed. immigration law not racist as they mirror each other. It is not just illegal immigrants from mexico we want out it is every illegal immigrant from any country we want removed. It is not far to anyone standing in line the right way if all 20 million left just think that would be 20 million more jobs available for legal Americans It all boils down to one thing the safety of Americans We need to put America and Americans first not a racist just an American

Obvious you have an agenda. There are time & places for well thought out regulations when one before the regulation is enacted, ask: What if anything could be an unintended consequences of the regulation?
One of the unintended consequences of what you are advancing is the adults won't get hired. Your family will have less to live on. Your kids won't learn in school.
I'm guessing you are using your example to prove requlations have a place & would love them to be very extensive.

are you kidding? people whould have children for the sole purpose of sending them away to work so that the parents could sit on their *** and watch tv all day. its a joke. hell no. kids should be able to have their childhood. people already have children just for the welfare checks. the more kids, the more they get. but all the kids live a shitty lifestyle.
if you want to teach your child responsibility dont send him to the mines, parent your own damn child.
if your willing to put your childs well being for some money in your pocket your a horrible parent.
it wont make your families lifestyle better, it will make your lifesryle better.

There's nothing wrong with government regulations, as long as it's not TAKE OVER by government.
Let me make it simple, so even you can understand. When government says, you cannot use child labor, it's fine, no problems here. But when government says, let us take over your business and run it for you because we do not like the way you run it, then it's a problem. Got it?

No,this is one piece of socializes progressive legislation that is good for the country. Can not say this about a lot of other laws and social programs implemented by the far left.If you want your children slaving in sweat shops, move to China, they would love your attitude toward children.

Absolutely. Send those little rug rats off to work to earn their keep. Keep the government out of my families business, These are MY kids, not the governments. If I want to make them work and give me all their money, that is MY business.
(sarcasm btw)

Your child would likely die very quickly because of unsafe working conditions and unbreathable air.
But, hey, it would make YOUR life better. Cha-ching!

Janice, you really need to turn the sarcasm font on when you write material like that. Some people think you are serious.
