Why do people think that the Gulf Coast spill is worst than Hurricane Katrina?

I have not heard anyone say that but this is horrible and a mess.They have said however that this Obama's Katrina .This is going to have much longer terms affects than Katrina.You are talking about an eco system that is very fragile.Not only is it the death of thousands of animals it also putting numerous people out of work.All life is important.Not just human life,every life is special and is a Miracle.In different ways each one of these is a terrible tragedy..Neither should be played down for some yahoo political gain or childish finger pointing.

In terms of lives lost, you are right. Katrina was awful. But who knows what the fall out will be from the destruction of wet lands and our coastal areas? Fishing industries and jobs will be lost. Wild life lost and because of the toxic dispersant's used cancer rates may go up or people will not be able to eat shell fish or fish for a long time. People will lose their lively hood and we may not recover from this for years!

it is the same ecological disaster as very last year. I were given tar on my feet walking on the sand there 25 years in the past. The disaster has been happening because the individuals arrived. you in straightforward words be conscious it even as the muffled cauterized tongueless outcry from the rootless, undesirable and devastated American victims grows virtually deafening - the clicking will look in its route even as persevering with the drumbeat for conflict, oil and automobiles!

Because - it will kill the gulf of Mexico coast line

and that is not good .

But Cons want to use - twist and spin this horrible situation against Obama . Even

though it was Conservatives /Republicans who were mindlessly chanting Drill Baby Drill

with McCain.

The spill isn't a natural disaster, it was caused by corporate greed and a lack of govt regulation.

I believe the guy who said that was the same one who said that apples are worse than oranges.

The devastation is yet to be fully realized with this on-going disaster.

It's gonna be the worst disaster to hit the earth!

These are the same people who think Obama is worse than Bush. Simple political bias.

Hurricane was much less toxic.
