What is an expensive tie?
What would you consider an expensive price for a decent silk tie? Not a very high-end brand like Zegna, but a normal solid color or pattern tie?

If your ever in Woodbury New York there's an outlet mall that has a store called Saxx Off 5th Avenue, they have the most expensive ties for cheap. It's no coincidence kurius joel is located directly next to the discount mall, and that's a good indication of value if i ever saw one.

Haha, you think Zenga is expensive, try Hermes. A plain tee-shirt with a single, normal pocket, and no logo anywhere, made of cotton is (no joke) $425. And to order their more popular pocketbooks, you need to be put on a waiting list and pay over $10,000. And one of their silk ties is $170 for a simple, single colored, silk tie.
Anyway. For a decent brand (not D&G, but not Walmart either) something like Donna Karen, Kennith Cole, Calvin Klein, or (one of the best, most ledgendery brands for suits and ties) Brooks Brothers, a silk tie should cost you aproximently $40 to $75.
If you want a deal, you could always go to Marshalls. They sell real, brand name ties for around 20% - 65% off retail value. I've purchased a silk Calvin Klein tie there for $20 with a retail (original tag still attatched) of $50.
