Hypothetical Cousin Relation Question (logic needed)?
I had an argument with a friend over this. If you are 50% your mother, and 50% your father, yet siblings have 100% the sames genes. What percentage relation do you have to a cousin?
I said 25%
My friend said 50%

Your friend is probably from the south, where family trees look more like snakes eating their own tail.
You are right with 25%. But that isnt exactly right either. It is statistically possible for you and your own sister to not share any of the same DNA. Its also possible for you to share DNA with only two out of four grandparents.

Your mother AB, your father CD your mothers sister AB her husband EF. You are ABCD and your cousin is ABEF. Your mother and Aunt share their parents DNA. 1/2 that DNA is shared with their children.

I agree with your friend because you would be half and the cousin would be half. I know because I am a native american and going by clan system.
