Is the Harlot in at Revelation 17:16 just about used up?

We see that the harlot ( world empire of false religion) had lost all credibility with people. They have twisted the words in the bible and don't teach people what is in the bible and have used religion to oppress people for so long people are tired of it.

The governments are tired of religion trying to meddle and rule everything themselves.

Religion is trying to take a new tactic by telling the people that " God accepts them the way they are .. dont even try to change to God's standards, by the way give me money"

That message is not in the bible at all. In fact just the opposite that we need to try to cleanse ourselves from every defilement of flesh (2 Corinthians 7:1)

It is no wonder why so many people prefer to become agnostic or atheists because the harlot continues to drive people away from Jehovah.

We already see goverments doing this, a few years back they were killing the monks in Tibet , and just recently France banned the burka. Religion no longer has the authority that it used to , it no longer has the power over people or goverments.

In due time she will have to answer for her crimes against humanity and Jehovah will use the governments to do so just like he used the Assyrian nation against the unfaithful Jewish people, all except King Hezekiah's tribe.

Waters mean people, this harlot sit on or controls many people with her false teachings, false religions is the reason for most wars, the war right now is belief based, we are heathens and they are carrying on a holy war. Iran against Israel, it's because of the different faith. To say the terrorist are not religious fanatics is total stupidity.

Don't get what I'm saying is that only these religious terrorist is this harlot, any false religion is called the daughters of this harlot.

When you examine the Bible one sees that most religions to day fit into what 2 Tim 4:3-4 says, they listen to the traditions of man and believe in false stories that tickle their ears(they agree with even if it's wrong). Pagan festivals has infested the church, christmas (the pagan sun god Tau-symbol the cross) and easter (the pagan goddess of fertility-Queen of Heaven-symbol the rabbit and all her priest where forbid to marry). There are dozens of pagan rites and festivals, hell fire,immortal soul,once saved always saved, and the trinity that anyone with half a brain can trace back to paganism. But people don't care, they say they are not in it for the religious part, they just enjoy the fun. " What does Rev 18:4 say-it says to 'Get Out' of her my people, why?, because if you don't you are going to share with her being destroyed.

Matt 24:14;28:19; and 2 Tim 4:2 all speak of a preaching work, this preaching work separates the sheep from the goats as Rev says when the white horseman rides. Those that follow what John 17:3 says will be considered sheep, all others goats. God's Kingdom is being preached throughout the world right now, what are you a sheep or a goat? Will you break away from how this world acts or will you say an enemy of God?(James 4:4).

At www.watchtower.org you can at no charge get a Bible aid that is tittled "What Does the Bible Really Teach?" For all that believe that the Bible is the word of God even if you think you know it you just might be surprised on just how many lies the clergy has told you.

Religion used to have free reign when it came to taxes, not only was the church not taxed but all its belongings including businesses(banks,grocery stores,resorts, etc.) where not taxed. But that has changed, the beast(government) has change the laws and now all holding that are not religious buildings are being taxed, this is just the start, government does not care for religion mixing in its politics, more and more they are separating church and state.The United Nations wants religion out of it, right now the pope has a seat at the UN.

Yes the harlot and her daughters, Babylon the Great the Empire of false religion is on her deathbed, pretty soon we will see her totally destroyed by the Kings of the earth(world governments) as the scripture point out.

Rev 17:15 And he says to me: “The waters that you saw, where the harlot is sitting, mean peoples and crowds and nations and tongues. 16 And the ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire. 17 For God put [it] into their hearts to carry out his thought, even to carry out [their] one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God will have been accomplished. 18 And the woman whom you saw means the great city that has a kingdom over the kings of the earth.”

Rod and others; Please make a note of this. When you see the governments turn violently on religion, remember that you were told to expect this as foretold in the Scriptures. And then fasten your seat belts because that will trigger the Great Tribulation talked about in the Bible.

If you choose to ignore the opportunity to learn about this now, at least you'll know why it's happening when it starts. Not at all sure you'll be able to improve your prospects after that. Until then, I wish you well...

I think we can see how the governments are getting tired of religion butting into it's business more and more. Like you said people can see how hypocritical the churches are. Once they lose the people, the governments won't need her anymore.

Jehovah will put it into their hearts(political leaders) to destroy empire of false religion.Even the unbelievers will see the fulfillment of this prophecy and what can they say?believe?it's to late for the day of Armageddon the climax of great tribulation.

Shes YEARS past her prime and usefulness. Now she is just in the way. ;)

the harlot is the one world religion that is established during the tribulation period

it helps rule and reign and bring the antichrist to power

after the antichrist is in power he will eventually destroy the one world religion

"For God put [it] into their hearts to carry out his thought, even to carry out [their] one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast,"

In other words....there is no such thing as free will.

Surely it is clear how disturbed the author of this drivel is! I will never understand why evangelical, protestant, Christian nutts find this so attractive.
