HELP ASAP! With 1994 GMC Safari?

Would anyone know how many pints of transmission fluid goes into a 1994 Safari Van made by GMC? We have no manual. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Update:

We are changing the transmission fluid. Replaced the filter, drained the old fluid out and need to know how much to replace so it is not overfilled. This is for a 1994 GMC 2WD Safari Passenger Van.

    CAPACITIES QUARTS

    Pan Capacity 5.0

    Total (Overhaul) Capacity 11.2

So if you dropped the pan and changed the filter it needs 5 quarts.

is it empty is the torque converter empty is the pump and lines empty ? if so a manual will be help full. if u don't know you start it let it idle 15 mins and fill a little at a time if the pan is empty from a filter change 2 quarts is a good safe starting point

um for what??......if its low the low-high line is a pint........

if ur changing the filter and fluid u will need gallons not pints.......usually 9-13 quarts....

if its new or used trans even more......since torque converter holds 1-2 quarts and lines and cooler holds another .5-2
