Tapering off Klonopin with Marijuana? This is HELL.?
I am getting off my Clonazepam (Klonopin) which is a benzodapine, which i am very addicted to. I take 1 mg a day, but .5 mg of this is equal to 10mg of valium, so it's very potent. Anyway, i'm having a hell of a time, anxiety, mood swings, rage, etc etc all the symptoms that can happen. I was wondering if using Marijuana during withdrawal would help or make things worse? Thank you so much.

In my personal experience only, and as a former opiates addict, I would absolutely recommend pot as a helper. It helps with the nausea, and even gave me an appetite, which helps you build strength so you feel better. It also can help you sleep, and most definitely will take the edge off. Do not smoke brown weed though, bad pot can actually make you feel worse. Just the kind bud for medicinal purposes.

I used to take kolonpin everyday too.
And I used to smoke weed about 3 times a day.
It is SO MUCH worse quitting weed then klonopin, although no one would agree with that if they haven't been through it.
Klonopin may make you a bit bipolar when you stop taking it, but it fades.
If you get used to smoking weed and suddenly stop, you can even throw up!! I got horrible headaches and was sick for days after I quit smoking cold turkey.
Basically, I don't suggest you start one bad thing in order to stop another.
It will be hard to be off Klonopin without 'help' but it CAN be done. I've done it, my grandparents have, and many other people have done it. You can too.
Try taking tylonel PM to sleep better and do activities to keep you busy. ***** to your friends all you want, let off steam, get MAD when you feel mad, and happy when you finally feel happy. If you roll with the mood swings, they won't be as rough or as frequent.
Don't forget YOU CAN GET THROUGH THIS. The human body was not meant to have a drug like klonopin everyday - you will be just fine without it again. It just takes a little time.
Be strong, good luck!

Even though you're tapering you will still have withdrawal symptoms (and they can come in all forms). It can take several months to get your body back to normal where you don't have any more symptoms -- even though your anxiety may be completely gone.
