i need more help with my hot tub?

Thank you every one for helping me with my last problem with my light, I got it working and currently the pressure switch for the light only turns the light on. It will not shut the light until the power to the control box is off, then the pressure switch will turn it on and off .(I can hear it pulling in and out) I currently have it wired as Normally open to the lighting transformer, and com is the line side of the switch. I tried a brand new pressure switch and the same result. Any ideas as to what is wrong would be awesome.

Second problem, I have this copper looking wire coming down from my thermostat. It is not a copper wire, I tried to take continuity with it and it is not conductive, however it is some kind of wire, I am guessing the thermostat. Here is my problem where do I hook it up to? I have a few pics of the wire and the control area, but I am lost as to where this copper wire hooks into. I thought it might be a ground wire but it can't be because it isn't conductive..

You can see the copper wire on the right side of the second pic. It has to go somewhere over to the right, right? That wire reaches to about the middle of the motor. I am completely stumped! Thanks for all your help!

Update:

I took the thermostat out of the upper control box and I know for a fact it is part of the thermostat and the owner previous to us cut the probe off. So my question is now where does the probe go on the new one? I keep reading this thing called a thermal well? If that is where it goes where is it?

yes that is a probe to a thermostat. They are cheap about 40 bucks to replace. The gas in that tube is what tells the temp in the thermostat. it expands as it gets hotter throwing a switch allowing the tub to run and therefore heat your water. most bulbs are seated next to the outside of the heater itself. You have a spa builders pack and the bulb will go right next to the heater. there will be a place on the back of that tube that will unscrew letting you place the probe next to the heater. Whats crazy about your pics is that the spa pack is installed upside down.

No that is not a bare wire!! One day you should upgrade to a much more efficient Balboa 501Z spa pack.

I can't help you with your 1st problem but it looks like the wire you speak of is bare copper, right? If so, it is a ground wire. Can't tell from the pic where it hooks up or where it comes from. If it's the 3rd wire in a 220 circuit it's a neutral.
