Cross Country Training?
Right now, I'm running 5 miles a day in a total span of 50 minutes. Now. I just wanted to know how effective this training is. And if you may, give your opinions and other ideas of training for cross country.

That's pretty good. You might want to change it up.
Try intervals
Level 1 for 5 minutes
Level 2 for 4 minutes
Level 3 for 3 minutes (good strong pace)
Level 4 for 2 minutes (shouldnt be able to talk)
Level 5 for 1 minute (dead sprint)
This will build your endurance. The LSD (long distance will help your cadio)
You have to change it up every so often and then to work on different areas.

Do some hill sessions, sprint sessions, long distance sessions. You should just join a running club and you will be put on certain training sessions each time. No pain, no gain. I am a Gateshead Harrier by the way. :)
