Hair Metal band of the day (take 5)?

There were some hair metal bands that I feel did not receive the recognition which I feel they deserved due to just simply having a crappy band name. Today's pick is one of those bands, Netherland's Sleeze Beez. They did have one very minor hit, Stranger Than Paradise, even though they released 4 solid albums, IMO.

Stranger Than Paradise

Screwed Blue 'n Tatooed

Raise A Little Hell

Save Myself (sorry for the song. the only video I could find for their Insanity Beach CD.)

MQ: Thoughts on the songs/Band?

MQ2: Your favorite band that suffers from having a crappy band name?

BQ: Ketchup or Mustard?

Update:

@Karl. yes I have heard of all those bands. Sweet FA are from Indiana, where I live.

Will try to get to this tonight..... am grabbing dinner then heading to catch the A-Team for some popcorn fun...... but I am totally unfamiliar with this band, so figure it is worth a shot.

Yeah..the name.. the name is a bit unfortunate, isn't it?

    MQ-

    Stranger Than Paradise

    - Ummmm... not bad.. but this band is pretty much the epitome of why I say most GLAM ain't Metal.. what is ONE single Metal feature to this track? It ain't bad by any means.. but its a Rock song, period.

    Screwed Blue 'n Tatooed

Better rhythm guitar already... though the drums and bass are still your typical hair rock. Bom-Bom-Bom-Bom..... still good pace. Fun song for partying, like most of the good side of GLAM.

    Raise A Little Hell

-Bassline is a little better here.. again.. good grooving sound. It is harder for me to really pick apart GLAM than most forms of Metal, as there tends to be less actual "virtuoso" type playing... just usually tight cohesive and maybe a little overproduced party rock.

    Save Myself

-Kinda.. generic.. i just finished listening.. and.. honestly.. nothing is standing out.. is that a bad sign? Or maybe I ma just developing alzheimers?

MQ2P: well..realistically.. when you think about MOST Thrash and Death Metal.. when you get over say....25.. the Juvenile Adolescent Machismo does sorta make you cringe.. I mean.. seeing 50 year olds calling themselves "Slayer" even.. it kinda explains at least part of why non Metalheads kinda don't get it......

BQ- Not really huge on either, mostly because most places don't comprehend the proper use of condiments. Mustard by it's very nature, is very pungent, and requires only a small amount, yet most places drown your food in it and ketchup. Out of the two, slight edge to ketchup, due to french fries..... but I prefer a good habanero sauce to either.

MA: I like Deadly Metal a lot instrumentally but the vocals get a bit annoying. But, nice riffage and cool licks. 10,000 Lovers has good riffs and licks too, but it would be much cooler if they kicked it up a notch and kept the vocals more aggressive. Just Like God has a weird feeling which I went to describe but I can't. It's catchy, but other than that and the intro+outro there's nothing too interesting about it. I do like the album cover though. Give Me A Sign is surprisingly really good. I like how it progresses both instrumentally and vocally. Really cool solo too. Atlantis starts off with a very weird riff. The song sounds like it could've been good but turned out really messy. MA2: Judas Priest. Sometimes it has worked, sometimes it didn't. MA3: Sure. Sorry I haven't been answering any. It's just that hair metal is not something I'm too fond of. Perhaps your Qs can change that. BA: You haven't lived till you've tried some Lahori fried fish.

well, i like my fair share of hair metal bands, but probably the more well known ones....Never dug too deep into the underground.

Well, i like the vocalist. has abit of a rough edge to his voice at times...the songs are fairly standard hair metal in structure, but all done well. Stranger Than Paradise seemed like a good single type of song....I liked the uptempo Screwed Blue 'n Tatooed the best, but can't say that i really enjoyed Raise A Little Hell

overall, seems like a good band

MA2: Goatwhore or Strapping Young Lad

    BA: Ketchup

I've never heard of them, although that's not surprising. I liked them, Stranger In a Strange Land was pretty cool, although at some parts it got a little boring for me. Screwed Blue 'n' Tatooed I liked a lot better, it kept the tempo up the whole song. Raise A Little Hell sounds like a blatant Trooper ripoff, unless these guys made theirs before Trooper... still really good though. Save Myself is actually pretty good.

MQ2: IDK about suffering from it, but The Crescents really isn't a name you'd expect for a Death/Black metal band

BQ: Ketchup... although lately I've been putting ranch dressing on everything

MA: Am unfamiliar with the band, and didn't really expect much. Even though i like glam metal, I am not a huge glam fan. But honestly, i was immensely impressed by this band. A sort of Skid Row meets Starship meets Van Halen. Really great stuff. 'Screwed Blued 'n Tatooed' was my favorite of the four. Thanks for the band though. I will definitely look into their albums. :)

MA2: Deep Purple. I never understood why they chose that name. 'Light Green' 'Dirty Pink' 'Deep Purple' :/

    BA: Ketchup, i guess.

This is becoming my favorite time of day!

MA: Great songs and videos. I love their energy. At least they weren't called the Beez Kneez.

MA2: I'll go with Mott The Hoople.

BA: Wow - they both have their places with me. Gotta have ketchup for the hamburger, mustard for the hot dog and in my homemade potato salad!

I have actually heard of them, and remember them.

You remember Tangier? Or Sweet FA? Or D.A.D.?

    MA: Pretty good stuff actually

    MA2: Buffalo

    BA: Ketchup
