the I3 Duo core will be faster in most benchmarks even beating out the Q6600 and to be fair the Q6600 is faster cpu then the quad core Q8300.And if you overclock your I3 CPU its a solid gaming computer but if your doing adobe then you should go with a quad core I5 750 quad core its going to be maybe $200 more then building a socket 775 if you budget your hardware right but well worth it.Plus the 775 is becoming a dead platform since Intel will not be supporting new cpus for that socket.
