It depends where you are living and what job you get but generally it's $25k-$35k a year.
Students who enroll in the Professional Medical Assistant training program will gain a strong foundation in the following areas:
* Medical Terminology
* Anatomy and Physiology

I am a recent medical assistant grad and think I can answer this for you. Some doctor's offices can offer you a really low wage like 8.00 an hour to start and some can offer as high as 20 an hour. But as a recent grad myself you should not be concerned with pay in this profression. You should be concerned with landing the position first, alot of places don't like to hire new grads because they have no work experience. So, the best thing for you to is volunteer, get a job in a hospital like a ward clerk something like that. Get certified and registered. Also take a phlebotomist certificate program. I don't know where you like but here is California you have to have all you can to get the job. Also take a medical office assistant program, go the cheapest route. Also take a medical coding and billing course. Add on as many tracks as you can to make yourself as marketable as possible. Remember its not about pay in this field, it about experience that gets your foot in the door. The website listed really helped me in finding out info on the field.
