Can you iron "dry clean only" wool pants?
I have wool dress pants and after 1 wearing they get all wrinkled! The tags say "dry clean only" and some of them even have the "do not iron" symbol...
So how the heck do I get the wrinkles out if I can't iron them? No way am I taking them to the dry cleaner after every wearing!

Yes you can iron them.I do too,but I take a towel for drying the dishes and dampen it and then place it on the area of your pants and ran over it.It saves the wool and gives a nice finish.Trust me,my Mum is doing it for over 40 years.

Buy a kit at a nearby store called "dryel" it's a dry cleaning kit that you can use at home. It comes eith a bag ,to put the garment inside, and a big moist tossue that cleans your clothes delicately inside the bag and you stick this bag inside a dryer. The kit shouldn't be no more than $25 bucks. To eliminate cat urine smell, make sure you use some febreeze or an odor remover with no dyes directly on the spot.

You can iron them on the 'wool' setting of your iron if they are 100% wool. If they are a blend (polyester & wool, nylon etc) iron on the setting for the fiber that requires the lower temp (ie- if it's a poly/wool blend, use the polyester setting rather than the wool setting).

Hang them in the bathroom. Take a nice shower, the steam will straighten out the wrinkles.
Source(s): I never buy wool because of this problem.
