colonoscopy bowel prep?

I am scared to go for one.

Don't drink anything tinted red or purple because the dye in those drinks sticks to the colon and it looks like blood. Did they give you the Go-Lytely? If so, here is a set of directions. http://medicalcenter.osu.edu/PatientEd/Materials/P...

You have to drink all of the prep unless your doctor prescribed a different amount. I know it's tough to drink that much but if you don't they'll have to give you enemas until clear

PS. Don't wake up in the middle of it. It really hurts.

well the truth is the day before for about a hour or so. is a little uncomfortable. dont stray far from the bathroom.. trust me..you get hungry chicken bullion cubes are great. you are allowed to have that to drink. DONT EAT THOW.. surgery is simple and fast. you dont feel a thing...i go to the va hospital where they gave me some kind of a drug so you dont remember anything...dont drive /right no checks/ take someone with you. cause you could end up in trouble doing things you wont remember doing....got to thank my wife for being with me and taking me out to eat after it was over. even thow she said i wanted to stop and eat a half hour later...i dont remember eating the first time....i got to believe her thow.. lol dont worry its painless.

Get down a much as you can and nothing in your mouth 8 hours prior to the procedure. next time they have a much smaller amt that you can request instead of the gallon.
