EVERYTHING we humans do, we do because we think it will make us happy. That includes being "right", or getting revenge. As it includes having faith.
See within yourself your own yearning for happiness and joy. Realize that, just like yourself, all others also want to be happy (even if they are going about it in mistaken ways). See the great misery of the world. Stretch out your heart in compassion.
As for your faith, this is a matter between you and your God ... and ALL religions teach compassion. As your heart learns to hold compassion for others, you will feel closer to your God. Many people also find that as their attitude changes to a more compassionate one, other people respond to them differently as well. By their fruits ...

Faith is a complex thing. It requires, even DEMANDS a lack of reason or logic. To have faith in humanity is to deny our reasoning. We KNOW through reason that each and every person thinks their way is the best way or the right way. They will always try to get others to believe their way because they believe it is the right thing to do. You wouldn't want someone to believe in something false or harmful.
So if you must have "faith" in your fellow humans have faith and TRUST that each and every one of every color, sex, age, and belief will ALWAYS no matter what do what he/she believes is right and even though sometimes that thought is harmful or even deadly to others nothing is more noble than doing the right thing. Even if sometimes the right thing to one is not the right thing to others. Take stealing money for example. It is wrong, it is harmful to whoever you stole from. Yet if a person believes that taking the money is right (i.e. to feed a starving family) then they will do it and think they are justified because to them it is the right thing to do.
You can fault every single person for the methods they use and the actions they take, but very few can be faulted for the reasons why they took those actions. Humanity is not a morally dead race. We just have different viewpoints and there is nothing wrong with that.

Since you mentioned Christian's and Muslim's my answer will be based in their general doctrine.
Nowhere in either does it say to have faith in our fellow humans. We are to have faith in God not man. Because man lies and lives their lives according to their own idea of their best interest. God does not lie and wants man to live according to his Word with our best interest as his main intent. All the other humans in the world can not get you to Heaven. You can only get there by living according to God's Word and to do that you must love, care about and help others whether they help you or not does not matter and is not part of the deal.
If people are not living up to your standards tuff. That is not their job or obligation. The question is are you living up to God's? Because that is where faith, hope and contentment comes from.

Your fellow humans are a pretty screwed up bunch. Be compassionate with them if possible, but remember they are changeable and mentally and emotionally challenged. Faith in a human is a tall order. Just be good to them if possible, and let it go at that. Expect the worse, and hope for the best, and you'll never be disappointed.

I see you are feeling a little anti-social... Well, don't go too deep. There are plenty of people out there who prefer to just stay in bed and wait for death... but there are also millions who seek each other out for interesting interaction. Cease the day... and the night.

put religion behind you. There is a HUGE difference between religion and faith. My faith is in Jesus Christ. I don't fight other religions. I try and guide them toward the light, but if they refuse, thats there choice. God will pull them to him when the time is right.

The 'Jesus military' stay in information around my way. They positioned on wrestle fatigues andchronic around in liveried autos. apparently, they're all intensely grotesque and extremely own obvious ticks and idiosyncrasies which could make mixing into wider society a project. i think of all 110lbs of me could take them in a combat too.

Your question reminds me of a quote by GK Chesterton:
"Though I believe in liberalism, I find it difficult to believe in liberals."
Moral: Don't put your faith in flawed men.

you can acquire true faith in your fellow humans, when they behave like intelligent and moral beings... good luck in that...

You can't
Look at the definition for faith http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/faith
You can trust some people. I trust my husband, but I do not have faith in him.
