Are the Conservatives burying themselves?
The Republicans got their arses handed to them by young voters in 2006 and 2008. Here's College Humor explaining the young adult image of the Republican/Tea Party Party.

The jury is still out.
Remember, it doesn't take much to distract voters who assume that voting against their own best interests by voting regressive party across the board will somehow send their message of frustration to the party they assume (might) listen to their coherent grievances?
That of course assumes reactionary sheep actually have coherent gripes with tried & true liberal solutions to regressive problems Bush/Cheney left us with after they both took an 8 year long dump on America, then left us without a courtesy flush.
Here's an excerpt from a link posted by a seemingly lazy poster who didn't go into a lot of detail in their answer:
"Obviously, Speaker Pelosi believes that a Democratic Congress should give this administration immunity from legitimate questions and appropriate accountability," Issa said. "Her statements are indicative of the desperate state her Majority is in and if the best case she can make is to caution the American people against the dangers of conducting legitimate and vigorous oversight, she is welcome to make that case."
My question to the conveniently comatose GOP during the ruinous years of the Bush/Cheney debacle is this, (and knowing what they will say in advance, I state this merely as a rhetorical question).
Where was the "legitimate and vigorous oversight" during the corruption, fraud, genocide, random murders and the accompanying obstruction of justice during the Bush/Cheney Smiling Happy Hitler years?
I realize that Bush was illegally placed into power by the corrupt and highly selective use of regressive judicial activism by the reactionary right wing of the dubiously labeled "supreme court", but apparently, this illegality apparently gave the illegitimate Bush/Cheney regime all the carte blanche they required to "institutionalize" their grievously corrosive SOP of obfuscation by elimination of truth, ethics or "morality" whenever or wherever these tedious principles dared rear their legitimate heads upon the political playing field.
Last of all, whether the GOP takes over or not, the GOP will continue to obstruct any & all Obama policies, both good or bad, preferably everyone should oppose bad policies than good, (loaded statement I know) seeing that the Grand Opposition Party doesn't care if America crumbles, just as long as they can still find a high enough pile of rumble with which to hang all this destruction solely upon the denigrated petards of Obama.
Granted, Obama isn't helping his own image by constantly jumping in bed with the minority opposition party which by the way, makes the GOP even madder, because it forces them to contradict themselves more than usual when they have to oppose policies that they gladly voted YES across the board whenever those policies where put to a vote under the Bush/Cheney endless misery tour 00-08.
Source(s): Observation P.S. Very prescient analogy video of Alice in tea-bagger land. It might actually be hilarious if it wasn't so agonizingly troublesome for actual dissent based upon real harm done to private poor citizens who are typically marginalized by racist organizations via the, (corporate malfeasance sponsored) tea-baggers. - Anonymous1 decade ago
The scary thing is that you would think so but I'm never quite sure anymore with people in their fears and Iron cast opinions.I think Conservatives have been whacko's for a long time though I don't like to ally myself with liberals either. In a land of 330 million there should be more to it all than the same old "rigged" by $$ constituencies game every 4 years. The 2 same old parties blaming each other with the same result;Nothing gets done until they "have" to do something. This country is very divided now(perhaps intentionally?)...never a fear by govt. of revolution if the people cannot unite! What scares me is that though the youth may not think so beware, someone as lame as Sarah Palin could maybe win in2012 if they(Conservs.) spend enough money....Let us pray.....Lord,please save us from irrationality and fear and oil wars and...etc...

Republicans are richer than ever. The Democratic party and Blue State mindset is destructive. Kentucky now has an economic standard of living twice as high as California--enough said. It looks like that illegal immigration thing didn't work out too well for the braindead liberals.

That's odd...most everyone I know my age (I'm 25) is Republican. I'm actually one of the exceptions in that I have voted Democrat for some offices, but I still vote Republican at least as much as I do Democrat.

Nice post!
'Alice in Wonderland' is very appropriate for the Liberal/Progressive mind-set!
You can keep your 'Cartoons', I, on the other hand will keep the United States Constitution!
Question, are you intending 'Tweedledee and Tweedledum' suitable characters for Obama and Biden?

Ah....we should all look to the youth for knowledge and wisdom. It's important to choose a candidate on the basis of how "cool" he is, how he struts, or the style of hat he wears. How could we adults have been so stupid?

Young people would vote for Brittany Spears.
You better move out of Ma's basement, get a job, and pay your own bills, quick, while you still know everything.

How many "Young" voters vote in off year elections? My guess is no, the Conservatives will do just fine.
