Why bother ?????????????????

Chloe, the question makes tons of sense to middle-aged folks who have worked themselves nearly to death to make ends meet only to have some damned liberal politician add taxes enough to move the ends further apart than ever.

Dude, I've asked myself that question most of my life. Now that I'm disabled and can't work I continue to ask myself 'Why the hell did you bother? It really made no difference,,"

I'll be watching this question to see if anyone makes a sensible reply.

So far the only answer I've come up with is that we work our asses off because it is the only way to maintain a little pride and dignity.
