What is the worst gun you own?

oooh! good question. I would have to say my taurus pt22 .22lr semi-auto was the worst by far of all guns I have ever owned. it jammed,failed to fire constantly, and parts fell off it. it was a complete waste of $250. coming in a close second was my taurus pt99 9mm semi auto that jammed also. I will never trust taurus as far as their semi-auto's go.

The worst gun I've ever owned was a Mossberg Silver Reserve O/U in 28 ga. It always functioned, it worked fine. But the fit and finish/worksmanship was terrible, poor balance...I must have been drunk when I bought it. I wanted a compact shotgun for the woods, and it was. But I couldn't get over the worksmanship, and it wasn't worth what I paid for it. I sold it. Mossberg's pumps are a great value, their over/unders aren't.

The worst functioning gun I've ever had was a Springfield Armory Loaded M1911. That thing would jam once or twice a magazine. I sent it back to SA, it came back barely any better. I had to fix it myself (locally), then I sold it out of sheer frustration. I shouldn't have sold it, it was a great shooter once it functioned correctly. No one else I know personally who has a SA 1911 has had any major problems, I just got the last one off the line on a Friday afternoon I guess. I'd buy another SA 1911.

The worst gun that I currently own is a Mosin Nagant 91/30...But "it's not a bad gun," it's just the least valuable, least finished gun that I currently own. It always functions and fires, and though it's not the most accurate rifle out there, it makes hits on target. I think that it's probably the most rugged gun that I own. Numbers matching, great bore...Not bad for $80.

It's hard to believe, but I once bought a Beretta 92FS in 9mm that was the absolute worst. The first time I took it to the range, the magazine kept falling out of the gun every 3 to 4 shots. A friend told me that maybe I was holding it wrong and accidentally touching the mag release button on the side. So, I went to the pistol range with my friend and tried different ways of holding it. Again, the mag kept falling out for the both of us, no matter how we held the gun.

After I returned the pistol to the gunshop for repair work, I got it back 2 whole months later. Only to find that the problem was not fixed. I finally gave-up and the gunshop owner agreed to exchange the slightly used Beretta for another new gun. He gave me 10% less in credit than I paid for the gun, which was about $45 back then, but I thought I needed to get rid of that lemon and buy a gun that actually worked.

The 12 gauge Imperial single shot. I bought it when I was just getting into collecting [almost two years ago, I've learned a lot since then]. Well I didn't bring my grandpa with me to double check and give me the go ahead. Well it locked up looser then a whore's lady part. I took it to my cousin's machine shop and it was tight for a while then it got loose again, after that I took it to a gunsmith he locked it up and it sat. Then I took it out again and after about fifty rounds of Winchester bulk 12 gauge #6 shot from Wal-Mart, I felt it getting loose again. I just cut the barrel to twenty inches and hung on my wall as a mock up coach gun. I could never find any information it, It does have a serial number in the lower 1000s so others were made. Any way like I said it just hangs on the wall and collects dust. I might run some patches down the barrel once a blue moon.

I honestly have never bought a gun that I don't love. I don't like the Troy Industry iron sites on my Ruger SR-556 but I like the rest of the gun.

In the shop there's an old Crosman BB gun sitting on the bench next to a .22 LR rifle that someone dismantled and gave to me after they couldn't put it back together. Some pieces are missing so I never messed with it. Either one of those would be my worst guns.

the wasr is my favorite as its my worst gun. Its reliable, simple, and easy to use, but its heavy, its accuracy is terrible (I probably can't hit a dinner plate at 100 yards with 30 rounds), and whoever blued it didn't do a good job. I think its actually paint instead of blue. it sure as hell doesn't protect the gun from rusting.

The ruger 10/22 was also something I sank alot of money into but it turns out it really not something I really wanted. there goes $600. its very reliable, accuracy is good, but its hard to clean, the archangel stock I bought is cool but its not really practical, and overall the ruger is a real money burner. I'm planning to sell it. I bought it because alot of people recommend the ruger 10/22. Its just not for me.

First,I starred your question. Second,in answer to it,I HAD a raven 25 that was a real POS! I fired it twice and sold the ammo to a friend. The gun got used for a hammer for awhile and then became a rifle target! It was executed with one shot from a mini 14.

Oh how it pains me to say this as I love Colt and have 7 others that worked great out of the box, but my Colt LE6920 has been a real POS, as Mountain Man said made on Friday, must be some exciting stuff to do in CT on Friday nights. Chamber too tight, sent it back, they bored it out and now I am experiencing A1 style dirty problems, they most likely didn't recrome the chamber and after about 300rds I get hard jams. I need to find time to contact them and shove that thing up........ anyway truth be told I will replace it with another LE6920, at their expense I hope.

Oh I forgot my first pistol, a Bryco 59, .380ACP, made by Jennings Arms. Bang, Jam, Bang, Jam, Bang, Jam....

I once had a RG 25 single shot automatic. Every time I fired it the primer would come out of the case and jam up the works. The striker spring would compress and I would need to take it apart and stretch the spring. That was in 1983. I still haven't gotten the bad taste of that gun out of my mouth.

Ithaca lever action single shot .22lr, I spent hours refinishing it for my daughters first rifle and lots of money. When it was ready to be fired again it only took a few shots before the press fit barrel started to separate from the receiver. I am so happy that it happened to me instead of anything bad happening to my 6 year old daughter. Oh and she ended up getting a brand new Ruger 10/22 right after that

Well i just started in to guns a few months back only have 3 but if i would have to give up a gun it would be my .38 special.Not that its bad it just has lots of scratches needs re blued and needs rear sights but it still shoots
