Why are so many Americans unable to spell?
It has become apparent that even graduates in all disciplines are unable to spell even simple words. One sees national advertisements that are seen by tens of millions of people with spelling errors that nobody seems to question. Even here on Yahoo one of their games is described as a game of "navel strategy". This would be laughable if it was not so serious.

It is a plot that was set in motion many decades ago. The idea is to dumb-down the Americans so that a new world government can take the reins and rule.
Not only is simple English grammar going to go by the wayside, but young people's ideas about themselves. 30 years ago there was no mention of things like Attentional Deficit Disorder. But now it's a widely used excuse for kids simply being lazy in school. This gives us powers to "medicate" young people and get them addicted to psychotropic drugs at an early age. Thus making the population easier to control when they reach adulthood.

Seriously?? This comment is like asking why all Brits eat Haggis or Fish and Chips. It's stereotyping...Just because an American you know cannot spell, doesn't mean that people like myself and a lot of other Americans can't spell. Get a grip, man.

that would've been funnier in case you had no longer returned and returned used the plural of the word "u . s . a ." extremely than the acceptable contraction, "u . s . a .'s." you in addition to might mistakenly used the possessive "its" extremely than the contraction "it is." in case you will make a comedian tale approximately declining literacy then it rather works plenty extra effective in case you employ suited English whilst doing so.

Mmmm, what you are doing right there is stereotyping. I am 16 and have lived in America my entire life and have no such problem. I'm actually pretty good at spelling and punctuation. So please, don't stereotype, it's not very nice.
