If two people are not sealed on earth is there any hope that they might be sealed in the next life?
Say John is sealed to Nancy. Lucy is sealed to Frank. Nancy and Frank die. John and Lucy fall in love. They can't be sealed on Earth but can it somehow be worked out in the next life so that John and Lucy can be together eternally?

ONLY IN THE MILLENIUM. AFTER WE LEAVE THIS EARTH AND BEFORE THE MILLENIUM ONLY VACARIOUS WORK CAN BE DONE.

You are mixing up your Biblical terminology.
"Sealed" is an action performed by the Holy Spirit when a person becomes saved.
It is related to the action of sealing a letter with a wax seal with the monogram of
the creator of the letter, indicating it's ownership and authenticity.
Thus, a Christian is "sealed" by God, the Holy Spirit, indicating the Christian's
ownership by God, and the "authenticity" of his salvation.
In your human relationship example, men and women are "bound" in the covenant
of marriage, bound by their vows made before God, to fulfill their obligations to the marriage covenant. So -- John is "bound" to Nancy. Lucy is "bound" to Frank.
But, if Nancy and Frank, one partner from each of the marriages in your example, dies
then John and Lucy are no longer bound. (A covenant dies with the makers of the
covenant -- it is no longer in force after one of the makers dies.)
So, John and Lucy CAN institute a new marriage covenant between them. They can
marry, and their marriage will last as long as they do. But, when they die, or one
of them dies, their marriage covenant is no longer in force.
There is no marriage after the resurrection. The words of Jesus Christ make that clear.
Mark 12: 23 -25
23 "In the resurrection therefore, when they shall rise, whose wife shall she be of them? for the seven had her to wife."
24 And Jesus answering said unto them, "Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?
25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. "

When I was a child and i learned about evolution in school and Adam and Eve in religious ed, I knew something didn't jive. I was a christian for years, but never really swallowed it and attheism eventually won out, thankfully, because I am a logical person.
Oh, wait, you wanted to be swayed the other way......

I guess not, according to the Bible:
Mat 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
Mar 12:25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
