neck muscle spasm advice please? (South East UK)?
occasionally, my neck muscles go into spasm - it is very painful and the only treatment has been with a strong muscle relaxant and/or a chiropractic adjustment manouvre (where they basically 'snap' the muscle out of spasm by twisting. It is now Saturday - the chemists are shut and my neck is about to go into full spasm - I have been trying heat pad, heat rub and massage pads for the last couple of hours but the pain is getting worse and movement more restricted - advice please (had thought about A&E but past experience for similar was that they left me flat on a trolley all night - 1 dose of diazepam 5mg and then told me I could go at about 6am)

Sounds like you have a trapped nerve.
A visit to a therapist should sort you out in no time.

ok, I had a hemorrhagic stroke that still causes paralysis on one side. However, I regained a lot more than the doctors were foreseeing. Give yourself daily shots/liquid 2 tsp.'s of HGH. That's the only thing that will work. I do not know if Dad had it when he had a compressed nerve or not, only that it worked on me. 2 tsp's is the max daily, otherwise you're risking niacin flush. The advantage of a daily shot is it will get into your system more quickly. It is as effective as it is natural; HGH is naturally is your body but as you age you produce less. You can buy it at any health food outlet where they sell vitamins, you can use mail order, you can also get it prescribed for you. The cost is 20-30$ I do not know the cost is you get it prescribed. The wwe has this thing about using HGH only under medical supervision. You are an athlete, right? Me, I obtained mine through mail order, after a free sample from a hospital. Maybe Botox might help, I'm just saying this seems more readily available and perfectly legal. Why not try it for a month? It took me 3 weeks and then I noticed that I was getting stronger and better looking. Hope I helped.

You should definitely see a physiotherapist or a thai massage therapist first thing next week. And I would avoid ‘snapping’ your neck by yourself, often does more bad than good …
The cause of neck pain is often not located in the neck itself, it is often a consequence of problems around the shoulder blades, on the upper back or elsewhere in the body.
For now, try taking a hot bath or go to a sauna. This will heat up and relax ALL muscles in your body, including the ones that cause your neck pain.
Good luck !
