Its a short term fix that leaves long term problems. Throwing money at things doesn't remedy anything it just glosses over the inherent problems.

Where did the money go, to began with...?
I do not believe the government nor do I believe those bureaucrats that are supposed to giving an accurate accounting of the Money that was stolen from the American Taxpayers to line some wealthy
bureaucrats coffers.
This stimulus was nothing more then Piracy...out right theft of the American Taxpayers. For what who actually has benefited from the stimulus? Not a single solitary individual that I know. that isa fact.

I think that stimulus is recognised as a short term measure. It prevents the 'race to the bottom' by companies struggling to stay afloat.
Although the situation is temporarily artificial, it prevents depression - where companies have long hit the dust and there is no Competition left hence making it it the rich man's paradise for charging what they like for goods and services and therefore subsequently rendering the average Joe totally under privileged.
