can cigaret filters help a high clay type soil breathe ?

my bro-in-law says it's just like the potting soil you get at home depot that has bits of styrofoam in it ...

this is about flipping a cigaret butt on the lawn.

    One might think that a particular person (no names mentioned) is making up stories to cover the fact that he's using the lawn as an ashtray. That stuff in potting soil looks like styrofoam but is actually perlite or vermiculite. Good luck! LOL

    Lubbock Texas is the same way. Hard, worthless clay. Lots of peat moss, compost, and sand will help to loosen it up. It took a few years, but my garden actually has pretty respectable soil now. Forget the butts. They won't do anything for your soil.

    I don't think so, sand and peat moss helped my clay soil good luck
