Is the name Evelyn too outdated to use?

I don't think so at all! I actually love the name Evelyn as well, mostly because I really love the nickname Evie! (pronounced ev-E... ev as in the word ever, and then the letter E) I like the sound of E V as well, but I'm not too big on the spelling Eevee... it's just a bit too complicated for me. Anyway, I think that Evelyn is gorgeous! I know a four year old with the name and it fits her just perfectly. I think it definitely still works! And don't worry, I know that your family will just grow to love it once they see your adorable little girl :) Hope this helped and best wishes!

I think it's nice to see classic names come back. It's better than all of the trendy names like Neveaeh and all of the "aden" names that are big now. And I think it's better to give a child an "old lady" name than a babyish name. Most parents these days don't take into account that their kids are going to grow up someday. But I think Evelyn is a beautiful name for a grown woman and Eevee is an adorable nickname for a little girl, so I love it.

I like it. I think you should use it. At least she would have a unique name which would be cool. I have a name that a trillion other people have and I hate it. Plus Eevee as a nickname is totally cute! I love it, go for it!

I think its really cute and not outdated at all! Every name goes in and out of style and Evelyn is definatly coming back. If you wanted something more modern though you could go with just Eva, Eve, or Ava or something more classic like Evangelina and Evette :)
