Why does everybody think Steroids make your penis small?
Is it some kind of Ego thing, because they have the psychological need to satisfy their own ego with cognitive dissonance, since they know the other man is now Larger and stronger and more of a threat to him so in their minds they say
"Well he's muscular and big and I'm weak and skinny, well. hmm.. He has a small penis! Yeah, so I don't want that anyway, that is why I'm better."
I believe that is the psychological defense mechanism going off in their minds, and the summary of the thought process of those that make the claim that steroids affect one's penis.
What are your thoughts on this? Because it's a scientific fact that steroids may only affect one's testicles.
That is not all entirely true information barcode, There are many steroids with very low "Androgenic" effects, Which is what you are refering to as "Side effects." These androgenic effects you speak of don't happen to everybody either, and rage is not common. You should recheck your sources. There are many that take steroids with no side effects at all, and some people almost die, there are so many different steroids, it's hard to say how much they took, what they took, and if the steroid was even clean or not. Who knows where they got it? You can't really say steroids are dangerous without lying.
Dang u anti-steroid fools are annoying, stop spouting false information.
i'm not manufacturing them, but just because it **MAY** temporarily affect the size of one's testicles, doesn't have anything to do with avoid it. That is like Cigarettes, they **DO** kill you can cause cancer, wouldn't one avoid them??
Think on that.

why? are you a manufacturer of these steroids?
well you said that it will only affect one's testicles, isn't that enough basis to avoid steroids?
while it is true that steroid is a type of drug, (i was once prescribed by the doctor) it has never been advisable to take it as a supplement for body building and by this, it is a fact that there so many who abuse the use of it. that's why there are so many canpaigns against it, but take note that they only aim to discredit the drug in relation to body building, otherwise the drug will be totally banned.
steroid is not a totally useless drug, but like any drugs, it should be taken only when necessary, like any drugs it has bad side effects. but not any drugs, steroid is one of those pretty abused drugs in the market.

Effects of Steroids
Steroids and anabolic steroids DO have side effects. Do not be fooled into thinking there is a perfect steroid out there. That's not true. All steroids carry some type of side effects in one form or another. There is no such thing as a side effect free steroid.
There are many side effects of using any medical treatment, including steroids. Here are some things an athlete might experience through the use of steroids:
• Your body wants to maintain a balance of hormones, so by undertaking a steroid regimen will send a signal to your body to shut down its natural hormone production. The levels of inhibition vary depending on the type of hormone ingested and most often hormone production resumes after the athlete stops his or her steroid regimen.
• The liver can be affected with orally ingested steroids. This means that studies have shown the levels of liver enzymes to increase after ingesting oral steroids which is an indication of liver activity. While some experts say that this is a sign of possible liver damage, other studies have shown that enzyme levels return to normal when the athlete stops taking the steroid.
• Steroids can affect levels of cholesterol. Athletes who use steroids show increased levels of LDL’s (the “bad” cholesterol) and decreased levels of HDL’s (the “good” cholesterol). This may also why anabolic steroids have been linked to cardiovascular problems as well.
• Anabolic steroids increase the levels of estrogen in the body which can lead to female-like breast tissue in males. However, there are anti-estrogen drugs that can help reduce this risk. Likewise, females who use anabolic steroids might begin to develop male characteristics such as hirsuitism or deepening of the voice, clitoral enlargement.
• Athletes who use anabolic steroids might also experience increased acne; this is often related to the type and amount of steroids used.
• One of the most commonly suspected side effects of steroid use is increased aggressiveness. This is a real but rare side effect of steroid use – most studies show that this increased aggressiveness or sometimes mania is more prevalent in people who were aggressive to begin with.
• Some steroids will stop the growth of people who use them before they have finished growing. This is one of the few side effects that cannot be reversed through stopping a steroid regimen.
• There are other effects on internal organs (caused by the type and dose of steroid as well as the effects of the exercise/training regimen that goes along with trying to “bulk up”) that are often reversed at the cessation of steroid use. These include enlarged prostates, high blood pressure, kidney problems and changes in the immune system.
• Sterility is also a possible side effect as the hormones in the body are altered during use of anabolic steroids. This can often be reversed or remedied with proper hormone treatments.
• Always remember, effects of steroids are very serious. Users do exprience bad and negative side effects, so be warned! Do your research.

Anabolic steroids can cause many adverse effects. Most of these side effects are dose-dependent, the most common being elevated blood pressure, especially in those with pre-existing hypertension,[22] and harmful changes in cholesterol levels: some steroids cause an increase in LDL cholesterol and a decrease in HDL cholesterol.[23] Anabolic steroids such as testosterone also increase the risk of cardiovascular disease[24] or coronary artery disease.[25][26] Acne is fairly common among anabolic steroid users, mostly due to stimulation of the sebaceous glands by increased testosterone levels.[27][28] Conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) can accelerate the rate of premature baldness for those who are genetically predisposed.
Other side effects can include alterations in the structure of the heart, such as enlargement and thickening of the left ventricle, which impairs its contraction and relaxation.[29] Possible effects of these alterations in the heart are hypertension, cardiac arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, heart attacks, and sudden cardiac death.[30] These changes are also seen in non-drug using athletes, but steroid use may accelerate this process.[31][32] However, both the connection between changes in the structure of the left ventricle and decreased cardiac function, as well as the connection to steroid use have been disputed.[33][34]
High doses of oral anabolic steroid compounds can cause liver damage as the steroids are metabolized (17α-alkylated) in the digestive system to increase their bioavailability and stability.[35] When high doses of such steroids are used for long periods, the liver damage may be severe and lead to liver cancer.[36][37]
There are also gender-specific side effects of anabolic steroids. Development of breast tissue in males, a condition called gynecomastia (which is usually caused by high levels of circulating estrogen), may arise because of increased conversion of testosterone to estrogen by the enzyme aromatase.[38] Reduced sexual function and temporary infertility can also occur in males.[39][40][41] Another male-specific side effect which can occur is testicular atrophy, caused by the suppression of natural testosterone levels, which inhibits production of sperm (most of the mass of the testes is developing sperm). This side effect is temporary: the size of the testicles usually returns to normal within a few weeks of discontinuing anabolic steroid use as normal production of sperm resumes.[42] Female-specific side effects include increases in body hair, deepening of the voice, enlarged clitoris, and temporary decreases in menstrual cycles. When taken during pregnancy, anabolic steroids can affect fetal development by causing the development of male features in the female fetus and female features in the male fetus.[43]
A number of severe side effects can occur if adolescents use anabolic steroids. For example, the steroids may prematurely stop the lengthening of bones (premature epiphyseal fusion through increased levels of estrogen metabolites), resulting in stunted growth. Other effects include, but are not limited to, accelerated bone maturation, increased frequency and duration of erections, and premature sexual development. Anabolic steroid use in adolescence is also correlated with poorer attitudes related to health.[44]
