Yes. It seems some people get a kick out of lifting threads, or comments, from here and putting them on blogs, or whatever. It's bizarre, it really is. I have no idea what would possess someone to do that.
Edit: Dimitri is right, but some of it is just random, with no obvious reason to it. I've found some of my stuff posted on a locked thread before, on sites which had no products, or blog. Nothing relevant to the answer I gave here on Y!A. Weird.

I have done and there is a reason why that happens. If you go to the sites and scroll down to the bottom of the site in the fine print it stated "Powered by Yahoo! Answers", therefore the questions on the other sites are actually questions asked on Yahoo! Answers, and why one's Yahoo! nickname shows up on those sites.

Yes I have and discovered the same as you have ; perhaps some Internet entrepreneurs use the knowledge base of Yahoo Answers to give some substance to their new sites...

I remember a question like this turning up maybe a year ago. One of my contacts had discovered some of her answers being quoted on other sites. If I remember right quotes from one of my Jewish contacts were showing up on Christian sites.

I use my usernames in other places. I do find plenty of what i've written, mainly for Wikipedia, elsewhere. I even found someone reading something i'd written on Wikipedia on YouTube once.

Not me. My screen name is so generic that if it appears at all, it is buried so deep in Google that it will never be found.
