Bleeding at 4 weeks pregnant. 2nd Miscarraige?
Hi, I wonder if anyone has experienced this, I feel absolutely desparate.
I had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks about 2.5 months ago. Me and my partner were devastated, I had no idea it would hurt that much. We really wanted the baby and were so excited. I felt safe that I had got nearly to 12 weeks but I started to bleed, just a bit, and we went for a scan and the baby had stopped developing and died. So I had to have surgery to remove the products of the pregnancy which was hideous.
We decided to try again straight away. We are so ready for a child, our life is starting to feel empty without one. I waited 5 weeks for a period after the surgery and once I knew my cycle was back to normal we had unprotected sex all month. Last Friday I took a pg test as I felt weird and it was a faint positive, then again on Sunday I took another one and it said 'pregnant 1-2 weeks.' So I definitely know I conceived. We obviously didn't start getting exited as we have been there before. I felt scared but optimistic, surely I can't be that unlucky, I have had a ton of other stuff happen to me this last year and I felt like this is my chance.
I woke up this morning and went to the loo and there was blood when I wiped. Just a tiny bit. I have wiped a few more times since then and it has pretty much stopped now . A very small amount and looks like old blood rather than fresh red blood. I don't have any cramps, just the odd twinge in my lower back but I was having that anyway and had that in my other pregnancy.
Has this happened to anyone? How did it turn out? I rang the early pregnancy unit and they said 'nothing we can do' They can't see anything on scan until 6 weeks to I just have to wait. If no more bleeding then it may be the baby is okay. I can have a scan at 6/7 weeks or do another preg test at 6/7 weeks.
I am losing my mind. I came into work because there was no point crying in bed and I do'nt want my partner to see how upset I am. This is his baby too and it's been such a rollercoaster ride. I need to be strong or I will never have the strength to try again.
Could this bleeding be a normal thing? Has anyone bled this early and been okay? If it is a mc how long will it take?
I'm not sure I can ever try this again, pregnancy seems to be about heartbreak and pain. I just do'nt know why or how other women can keep a baby safe and all of mine die.
Any help really appreciated.
thank you
Oh I am grateful to have conceived of course I am! But it's just as hard to lose a baby after conceiving than to not conceive at all. Both are terrible. Either you can't get pregnant or you get pregnant and can't keep it. I know positivity is a great thing, and I am trying to be hopeful, but after one miscarriage you are very anxious and don't believe that your body has the capability to carry a child, you feel useless as a woman - much the same as I imagine you might feel if you couldn't concieve at all. I wish everyone, ttc or pregnant after a miscarriage, love and strength, at the end of the day we all want the same thing, that baby in our arms, and we are all brave to keep trying and smiling.

I'm so sorry that things have not been going well for you and your husband. I had a miscarriage 3 years ago at about 5 weeks and we were devastated too (been trying for like almost a year prior to that). I'm now 11 weeks pregnant (after another 3 years of trying) and at about 7 weeks and then 9 weeks I had like brown discharge/brown blood and I went to early pregnancy unit and they did a scan and the baby was fine. The nurse at the hospital told me that when someone is having a miscarriage there will be more blood than during period. What am trying to say is don't worry yourself (I know its not easy), but trust God and pray that He will protect this child. To me it sounds like you are either having an implantation bleed or your body is getting rid of old blood. Take things easy, rest a lot and try not to stress yourself. I'm sure everything will be ok! Take care and keep us updated. xx

I had the same thing at about 4-5 weeks, but all was fine. Try not to worry, and arrange that scan to confirm everything is okay and help you relax. They'll take good care of you x
