What has changed in the US over the past 200 years that we need a bunch of social programs and business bailou?

Politicians discovered that they can buy votes with other people's money by promising freebies to the masses. The clip with the lady standing in line in Detroit for obamamoney tells it all. All of the bailout programs from obama fall into this category. The exception is the first TARP, in September 2008, where Bush addressed a sudden financial panic.

We have two different systems in the USA now. The corporate class and the poor are under a Socialist system and are supported by the government The Middle class is still operating under capitalism and their money is being used to support the other two.

It's immoral not to take care of the needy. Christ commanded us to help them; He did not command us to give unpaid tax cuts to the rich and Big Business.

However, if we did not help the banks and some businesses after the radical conservative Republicans drove our nation to the brink of financial ruin, we would be in an economic depression right now.

The godless generation has arrived in America. The churches no longer take care of the needy and the businesses no longer do unto others as they would want others to do unto them.

We freed the slaves so with no master to fend for them, Uncle Sam stepped in with free cheese and maddog.

We no longer ride horses to work, had an industrial revolution, and our population has exploded....among other things.

It is the result of Progressiveism.
