Is there a story in the bible where Jesus is thrown by some animal and it is cursed?
A Christian friend told me about an account where Jesus is riding an animal, I think a mule, and is thrown by it so he curses it by making it infertile and then he rides a donkey and it doesn't throw him. I heard it a long time ago so I might be getting the details confused; it might have been a donkey that threw him and he made it infertile and that is where mules come from. Is this story from anywhere? If so, can someone give where it comes from? Thanks.
I'm not joking btw, I'm seriously curious about this b/c I told another Christian friend and he said he never heard of it.
Please be respectful and stay on topic, I just would like to know if there's any written or spoken record on this particular story.
Thanks for the answers, apparently its just a nativity legend from Guatemala and it wasn't the mule becoming infertile, it was that it was forced to bear heavy loads.

not sure how reliable that is but its the closest sounding to what I heard and my friend was from Jamaica which is somewhat close to there, plus he probably works with some Guatemalans.

The events recorded in the Bible are those we know to be true, but as with many famous ancient people there are legends about Jesus as well, probably the most popular being he went to England or India. While there is probably some truth to some, others (like going to England or India) are probably made up, but we will never know (at least in this life anyway) as to which ones are true and which ones aren't.
I personally doubt that Jesus would curse mules as a whole because one mule threw him, because he did curse a fig tree which didn't have any fruit for him (the fig tree is a symbol of Israel in the Bible), but only that individual tree, not all fig trees. Nor do I believe that he would ever inflict too heavy a burden upon one.
If you are interested, there are mentions of mules in the Old Testament. I did do some research on mules earlier this year and they have a reputation amongst those who use them for having a good temperament.

First , you misquote the Bible enormous time. Second, developing Adam & Eve isn't magic. It is also a time while guy with science would control molecules to create a human frame. Of direction the frame could haven't any existence. Would be simply as a sculpture. Second, approximately the fruit, even in these days which are materials that impact the way in which we see the sector (psychotropic). Why could not a fruit be competent to investigate them to invite themselves questions approximately what's round them? Hell is solely the absence of God. Because God is the supply of the whole lot that's well, hell turns into a nasty location, due to the fact that you don't hae what you require. And the facet with Noah ark isn't a legend. The DNA strings proves that every one persons have a human ancestor round that point. Plus all historical civilisation don't forget of their writings the flood and location within the equal interval. And approximately the final query: Only Jesus has a human face due to the fact that he took human frame. The different individual don't always have a human face, however can count on one. In truth there's a verse that claims: no guy can see the face of God and reside.

I never heard of it either and am fairly certain it's not in the Bible. There's a story in the old testament about Balaam's donkey talking to him, and one about Jesus riding into Jerusalem on a Donkey, but that's about it.

I think you're thinking of when Jesus went to the fig tree to eat but it had no fruit so he made it infertile. As for the donkey story, You're thinking of when He went to Jerusalem and rode the colt that had never been rode before. And as he rode it through Jerusalem everyone praised Him.

No, it is not in the Bible, at least not the protestant set of books. It might be in the Apocrypha, but I rather doubt it.
He did go to a fig tree and finding no fruit (it was the wrong season), he cursed it and it died later.

I never heard of this story but I can assure you, it's not anywhere in the Bible.

There is nothing in the Holy Bible that says such things. You need to read it for yourself.
