How do you know (think) your god is real?
so there are multiple religions in the world, all saying that their god/s are the higher being. They all have different beliefs and so on but yet how can we clarify which one is right? I'm atheist myself (I don't want any rude remarks saying "you're evil" or whatever people say) I see people arguing over religions almost every day so now I'm asking others. What proof can you give me that your god is real? Why do you choose that religion?
alright so I get what you're saying but give me proof your god created us, existence, and the ministry. (Unless you can show me hes here then you can't really prove he exists.) and in the time I was christian I would pray every day, go to church, but no matter how much I prayed this guy never listened. Nothing changed.
I just want to know what others think. I'm not trying to get them to change religion.

Three proofs:
1. Evidence of Creation.
2. Evidence of the Human Conscience.
3. Evidence of Jesus Christ and his ministry.
Source(s): My dear...I couldn't possibly convince you that God exists, even if we were next door neighbors (no less thousands of miles apart). I think what you're hoping, is to place the burden of proving that God exists, onto MY shoulders. And when I fail, you'll feel better about denying that little nagging voice inside that says "God is real. And he's watching over you." I'm sorry, but I've given you three areas you can take your curiosity and interest into for further research. That's the most I, or any other Christian, or even the Christian church can do for you. The path to God must ultimately be walked individually. I'll pray for your success. Good Luck! - Anonymous1 decade ago
I wasn't there when the War of 1812 happened but the history of it has been passed down by word of mouth and books. The proof of Jesus has been passed down by word of mouth and also in the Bible. How do we know that the Civil War really happened? We just know that it did. You don't have to see something to believe. In reality it's hard not to see that God is all around us.
I don't think you are a bad person for being an athiest and I'm am willing to bet that you are a kind-hearted individual. I ask that you have an open mind when considering God's existence. It is clear that just about all religions believe in the same God. The disagreement is about whether Jesus Christ is the son of God. God didn't make religion, man did. Don't get too upset about the war between religions. It's just proof that man is not perfect.

You're actually asking vastly different questions here.
I believe my gods are real because of personal experiences I have had with them. It's called UPS, or unverifiable personal gnosis. I have knowledge of my gods, but that knowledge is personal.
That is vastly different from objective proof that I can offer other people. Expecting other people to believe in my gods just because I say I'm sure they exist is silly.
Quite frankly, if there was objective proof for any religion, we'd probably all be following it.

The belief that one religion is right and the others are wrong is an old way of thinking that hopefully will eventually die out.

He wrote a book, but not really, because it's signed by some other guys. Oh yeah, and he made planets and the moon and vegetables for us to eat.

Understand for a second you wouldn't known "god" if your parents wouldn't tell you because god didn't came to you and convince you to believe in "him"

b/c He is helping me out right now, has helped me out whenever I have called on Him in the past, and never ceases to come to me no matter how deaf I am

I believe. It requires no thought, I know.
