Why does everyone hate FOX news?
I have been listening to Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity since i have started combining this summer and i never really was to strong either way, but they're both great funny guys with good humor and even better political view points, i see or hear absolutely no racism they are just conservatives that have strong opinions, and the fact that people want to shut them down and just totally violate there first amendment rights is just sick. I really think people should listen or watch before they judge just because ABC NBC and CNN are 90% far left liberal stations doesn't make FOX news evil, its just annoying how people seem to have an automatic reaction when FOX news is even brought up.

Nowadays, it is possible to find any number of "facts" to support any position that you may have about anything. So whether or not a news source is "accurate" is totally up for interpretation. If you like what Beck and Hannity tell you, then by all means, keep listening to them. But if you want to get a true picture of current affairs, then do yourself a favor and don't get all your facts from only one source. Whether it's Fox, or BBC, or ABC, they all have a bias at least some of the time. And so does each of us. We have to force ourselves to be objective, or we very easily get caught by our own bias.
For starters, pretend that you are neither conservative nor liberal. Pretend that you are a fact seeker -- imagine that! Compare the news as reported by Fox to those from other sources. You will quickly see that very rarely does any network actually report "lies". Rather, they selectively report or emphasize the aspects of stories that line up with their political orientation. Also, how the news is presented can also show bias. A news anchor can report a piece of news with a serious frown, or an ironic smirk, and it puts a totally new spin on how we, the audience, feel about that news.
You know the old saying "You can always fool some of the people all of the time"? Well, to avoid being fooled all of the time, we should not rely on a single source for news.

Please do not assume that the person who posted this got her information from where. She very briefly put her thoughts and questions. She may watch ABC as well as FOX. She also may as well researched too. She is simply asking what is everyone else s bias with FOX. I agree with her with the automatic negative reaction people have towards FOX news, because it is true.

I do not consider Fox news evil, I just do not like Fox. No news station is neutral
as they either have to be on the left or the right as that is what makes the news.

I'm guessing because FoxNews sucks?
Actually, all of the 24hr news stations have taken a turn for the worst into tabloidish National Enquirer-type land. I look at it more as entertainment TMZ news, than actual news. These people care about ratings and ratings only. CNN is the least biased imo, but of course they have their own angles.
But FoxNews is the worst. They sell sex (like their hot reporters w/cleavage), Drama with a capital D, a slow moving 2nd grade reading level scrolling news ticker (so ppl spend more time reading it), and then a little more drama. Their "reporters" and anchors seem to care more about trying to appear "right," then getting the story right (see Bill O'Reily). They hijacked the conservative Republican base because there was a market for it, but Fox is the very same network that conservatives complained about back in the day, over 'indecent' shows like Married w/Children, Simpsons, etc.?
At the end of the day, there's a reason your local news doesn't go on for 24hrs.....because there's no need to. When you have a 24hr news network trying like hell to fill time and get ratings....you're bound to get a lot of non-news stories being perpetuated as actual news, hyperbole, BS, exaggerations, what have you...and throw in some entertainment disguised as news for good measure. It's good to have balance between Repub & Dems in the media, but when you got one end so hell bent on twisting the news for the conservative advantage, and then in the same breath saying they're so "fair and balanced," then you should expect the amount of disdain they've receieved.

Hardly anybody does - it has more viewers then the other three cable news networks combined. The liberals hate it because it is thought provoking which makes their propaganda less effective so they rail against it in their typical "if I disagree, smear it" fashion.

I think it is very informative, and if I think something is wrong I look it up. So far it been on the nail.

"ABC NBC and CNN are 90% far left liberal stations"
Since you watch FOX all the time, how do you know that?
Oh, Glenn and Sean TOLD you so, I see....
If you really think they are "great funny guys with good humor and even better political view points" you haven't been paying attention. They are propaganda mouthpieces for the Neo Cons that run the GOP and are behind the Teabaggists.
