What are some tourist attractions near the Houston Airport?
I have a 7 hour layover. I figure it will take me 30 minutes to leave the airport and 2 hours to get back through security and all that. That leaves me with 4 hours and 30 minutes to do something near the airport. I was wondering if you have any suggestions in what I can see or do that is near the airport as I have so much time to kill. I will be there on August 25th and it will be during the day.
Sorry, it's the George Bush Airport.

You can always visit The Woodlands Town Center. It will require a taxi though. And since there aren't many taxis around The Woodlands, you're going to have to remember to call ahead and get one to pick you up in time to get back to the airport.

The Woodlands Mall (above average mall)

Market Street (without walking distance or take a free trolley ride) http://www.marketstreet-thewoodlands.com/
The water way

Bring a water container to keep filling up while you're here. August is HOT! And if you're outside walking at all, you're going to want to have plenty of water.

Well, there are two airports and I'm not sure which one you are referring to. Houston is really big so I would not recommend much more than simply going to either a mall and browsing around, hitting a nearby restaurant for lunch/dinner and a drink or two or seeing a movie. Below are links to attractions near both airports.

there's malls & shopping centers near both Houston airports, most houston attractions are too far away from the airports or take too long toexperience.
